  1. reading this thread reminds me of the thread in 03 with david lipscomb and huntingdon. you would have thought there was no reason for huntingdon to even bother to show up. i think we all remember what happened when they decided to go ahead and show up and give it a shot. DO I SEE THE SAME SITUATION STARTING TO FORM HERE! MAYBE SO! GOOD LUCK REBELS
  2. I am not a big mckenzie fan, but i assure you they are not a 1 man team. check out their defense. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  3. 2009. Must admit I am not too excited about small ball
  4. If you figure jordans yards per carry, it really is not that impressive. When you run the ball 40 plus times a game out of 50 something plays, against their schedule. If he tries to play at the next level, he had better get alot faster.
  5. I bet this guy is at the top of his english class /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  6. Someone help me out here. Has Milan ever just plain and simply been beat, or has it always been because of a bad call, injury, full moon, ect. Just wondering.
  7. They must have forgotten how to hold and chop /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  8. Ethan Parham is out for the season with torn acl. the same knee as last year. a bunch of rag tag linemen from across the county, wont call their name, couldnt block him so they went after his knee. they knew him and knew which knee to go after. Sad, because he was being requited by some good 1a schools and is a good hard working kid. there are a couple of pictures on coacht gallerys of what happened, but like is said, i wont call the schools name.
  9. This was after he had been held by the ankle and chopped all night. his mcl, and acl was torn, and also had cartilage damage.this doesnt happen by cutting the wrong way. his surgeon told him that this was from repeated hits to the same knee. one of his friends on the bruceton team told him that this is just the way your line blocks. like i stated before, if you just dont have the talent, you have to do what you have to do. You also dont have extreme bruising on the side of your knee from cutting the wrong way. ask your center and guard about it, they know what was going on. back to the topic of linemen, good luck to yours the rest of the season, they are real men.
  10. I agree. Bruceton did the same thing at Huntingdon. Holding the ankles and chop blocking. Ended a promising D1 college career for a young man in huntingdon that was more of a man than the whole Bruceton line put together. Coaches and officials should be held more responsible for this kind of crap.
  11. I think this guy should apply for the job /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  12. I just want to respond the the remark about the o line. Three of the o lineman on this years team started as sophmores and helped the team to the semi finals the same year. if everyone on this line was healthy this year i would put them up against any o line in the area. losing a three year stater who was a strong d1 prospect at right tackle hurts. makes it very hard to mix up the running game. remember when you blame the coaches that they have to make do with what they have, and our coachts have done very well with that. you seem to have forgot all the injuries and circumstances that surrounded last year. everone needs to get off the o line. maybe if you want to complain you need to get on the fumbles, dropped kickoff and punt returns, which by the way turned into a td for mckenzie last week, missed tackles ect., this line has took their knocks for the last 3 years and have turned into a pretty good line. check the rushing stats. contrary to what people seem to think, the running backs dont do it by themselves. take heart line, some of us out here realize what you contribute. keep up the good work.
  13. you also wrapped on the blocks. a combination of wrapping up ankles and then chop blocking is pretty effective. you are correct when you say you got low. you got real low. good job. check out the photos of the game on coach t. one in particular stands out. went on all night long. i guess you have to do what you have to do .
  14. FA defensive line better watch out for bruceton chop blocking and holding. be sure to tape your ankles and brace your knees
  15. heard a rumor that bruceton had a running back that would not be playing friday night. does anyone know anything about this.
  16. I think they will come back quite well. I hope they can handle the terrible fear of playing those rebels. they must be the baddest dudes in tennessee. they would have aloca and maryville shaking in their shoes
  17. You got that right, you aint Huntingdon
  18. other than hanson, who were the other o linemen and what position did they play
  19. In my own humble opinion i think maybe ole hackenbad is just trying to get the team all mad and stirred up. I find it hard to believe anyone is really that stupid.
  20. Ok, someone has got to say it, this guy is the most pathetic jerk i have ever seen on here and i have seen a bunch of them. thanks to milan for another classic football game. we or someone else will see you in the playoffs. good luck. as always, its great to play yall, win or loose.
  21. ok, we got guys like this in huntingdon too, ignore them and they will go away.
  22. We are just going to try to get through the mckenzie game without getting too embarrassed.
  23. Hmmmm, let me see, Huntingdon had already played 2 quarters of football against two pretty good teams and managed to beat a fresh crockett county team that had been resting all night. Boy, if we ever get out of that sluggish stage we might win 2 or 3 games. Probably aint got much hope of beating them bad boys from mckenzie though. But we will do our best and see what happens.
