  1. South Pitt and Mckenzie. MHS 28 SP 21
  2. Well, All I have to say is McKenzie is a great football team. Go win state boys! TCA... Great season boys, first region championship, most wins by a senior class, most wins in a season. I know its not the way you wanted it to end, but God has bigger plans for all of you, and you have made your TCA family proud.
  3. Gotter dun Lions! Chad Jordan 25 rushes for 63 yds. I believe TCA got to the QB 8 or 9 times. Great Defense by the Lions. Heck of a season by Bruceton, Chad Jordan and Alex Matlock, I hate to see your season end, but be proud of all you have done. Go Lions, take it to Mckenzie!
  4. The point is that they can compete in 2A unlike USJ and other teams that stepped up and played over the last couple of years.
  5. TCA won big last week vs. a 3A team in Lexington. Halls comes off a win also over Adamsville. Can Halls pull two wins off in a row to close their regular season?
  6. Id like to say that TCA and Perry Co. play tues. May 15 at 4 pm, and if Perry Co. wants to get behind a program, they need to start right now by being a this scrimmage. Come support the kids, TCA is a good example. Over the years, TCA had some success and complete failures, 1-9 two years ago. It was a uphill climb. Then last year they broke the ice and went 9-3, TCA got a good coach in coach Hodum, and then allowed him to go out and get some great assistant coaches, who pushed the kids in the weight room and really boosted the schools' pride for their team. I dont see why Perry Co. cant do the same, alot of post said Perry Co. was not as strong on the line as most other schools. Get those kids in the weight room, and make it fun for them to lift. Push them beyond what they think they can do, build up that strength. But most importantly... build up team spirit by getting behind this team May 15! Good luck Perry Co. the road is rough, but keep going strong.
  7. yea, yall are right, the Baseball team will more than likely be put out as early as monday or as late as friday. So TCA will field about 90% of their team by the scrimmage. TCA is also opening this scrimmage as a fund raiser and asking all schools and fans of high school football to come out and watch some early season football. #55 is still there, hes a senior.
  8. Hunter Johnson, Junior, TCA, 6'0 330lbs. I have never seen any1 like him in my life. He not only is massive, he is fast, and has a nose for the ball. He is just now getting attention from colleges, because he missed his Soph. season due to family trouble and 3 games his junior year as well. He also is viscous. He close lined a Manassas running back last year, with his left arm. Another teams coach called TCA's athletic department and asked If they had seen the film of that game, because he said it was the most amazing thing he had ever seen. This guy is going to be all over the head lines next year, and I look forward to watching him play his last year.
  9. Preston Overby-So.-USJ-over 100 stops last year as a freshman.
  10. TCA! This is going to be a team of 16 seniors, however this spring game will be held while baseball is still in progress. TCA will be missing some key players. Also word has it that Perry Co. is fielding a very good team this year. If there are any questions you have on TCA just let me know.
  11. Lake Co. put TCA out of the playoffs last year. This game could give us an idea about the two teams coming back this year. What are some key things to be looked at in this game. Position vacancies and what not?
  12. I can tell you this years TCA team is the best ever at the school. I believe that we play Lake Co. and Perry Co. Ill let you know how they do.
  13. Hagen Nelson. TCA. Soph. Good size at about 6-3 170. Has a cannon for an arm. hits very well at the 5 spot. Not elite yet, but he is young, and has all the makings for a good player.
  14. USJ has 10 kids that can pitch this year. VERY VERY deep, and young. I believe another state championship is coming at USJ.
  15. In my opinion, TCA takes this one in a pretty good game.
  16. Trinity will be decent, a really young team, with only 2 seniors. TCA beat Dyer Co. 6-3 last week in a scrimmage. Tca has alot of young pitchers whos character and poise will be tested as the season goes on, but the future looks bright at TCA, with its biggest team ever.
  17. Here is my list. 1. Friendship Christian 2. Trinity Christian 3. Mt. Pleasent 4. Trousdale Co. 5. Union City FA is losing way too many starters to be a preseason pick, but dont count them out, they always have a good team in Sommerville. (Bruceton will be good out of the west, but they lack the ability to be two deminsional. They run the ball almost every play, and defenses can key on that. The teams that go to State, will be the two teams who can stay two deminsional and play good defense. My pick for the bowl is Trinity Christian and Frindship Christian, again.) A little P.S. for all the people that hate on Private schools, I dont know about FC, but TCA only has around 200 kids in the highschool. Most every team the play next year has double the students that TCA does. Another note about TCA, is that they play an extreamly difficult schedule next year. They only have 4 region games and those four teams are the only 1A teams that they play. TCA plays Lexington, Chester Co., USJ, JCS, and St. Benedict. This schedule, will test TCA and help them prepare for what we hope will be a deep play-off run.
  18. I played on that state team this year. One of the best times in my life. I know each and every one in that crash. Kids need to learn lessons, but this is the hardest life lesson I have ever been through. My prayers are directed towards Jacob and Davids recovery, as they are in stable condition after a long night of surgery. Pray for the doctors, families and friends as we try to make light out of the situation and remember the good times we had with Tom. R.I.P. Tom Thanks for the prayers, God has been with us the last 24 hours and has blessed the other three in the car. Carl...
  19. FCS could have won, If they had focused the ground attack in the middle instead of the edges.
  20. 1) FC 2) TCA 3) MP 4) GV 5) Trousdale 6) Cascade 7) Bruceton Central 8) Jo Byrns 9) Hampton 10) Fayette Acadamy TCA very strong and Big next year, Daily + MP= trouble, FC going to be back next year.
  21. first off, I have been following this kid Carl Diffee from USJ since he was about 12 and he has the best swing I have ever seen in a young golfer. Also he has qualified for the state am the last two years. 32nd last year at state and 4th this year in A-AA. This kid can play and he will be a good one to watch in the near future. Maybe not the best, my pick is Justin Walker from GP for the best golfer, but Diffee is a strong competitor in TN golf.
  22. Hunter Johnson, TCA. 330 lbs at 6-0'! Strong as an ox and can shead double teams like nothing. Has great feet and is extreamly agile. Has been considered D-1 material since 9th grade. He started as an 8th grader for the lions. Even then he was 300+! He is one heck of a football player!!
  23. TCA returning alot of talent, also this is the same 8th grade team that dominated the area. Returning 5 starting lineman, starting runningback and Quarterback, but losing two very good recievers. Can they be replaced and keep TCA balenced?
  24. USJ has their hands full next year, I believe they have scheduled Harding Acadamy and Briercrest?
  25. JCS will fair better than most will expect, and better than USJ did last year. JCS in my mind will win 5 games. Thats pretty good guys.
