Not sure why FCS is making this move, I am sure there are reasons beyond just sports. Looks like FCS moving out moved Goodpasture into your classification. Karma can be rough sometimes. According to the TSSAA website they have 24 State Championships across all sports and 21 runner ups all since 1978. Mostly in Football, Baseball, Softball Golf and track. FCS has 4. Guess all you false accusers better get good at checkers and badminton because I don't think they have a team for that yet. By the way Ensworth and Brentwood have always been in DIIA but they always move up and my guess is they will do that again. Not sure what BGA will do.

It was Miss Seay is she still the poster child for sportsmanship in the worlds epicenter of sportsmanship or did the fan who tackled and broke the collar bone of Signal Mountains mascot get awarded the W.B.R. Let me see I have looked and do not see where any team called FCA played Boyd. I did see that FCS did play Boyd and the final score and box score show they won the game and that is what matters. The officials called it a touchdown so that is what it is. Guess you were to busy inflating basketballs to see that FCS won the gold ball. Sorry no balls in Trousdale this year. If you get a chance would you kindly find Mrs. Harper and tell her we are number one and please use the same finger that she used as our kids exited the field a few years ago.

Maybe you should look at photo number seven on tennessan sports.com. A player with both hands on a helmet ripping it off is far from a chippy personal foul and to follow it up on the next play with a personal foul should always be called regardless of the score. The officials should not be faulted for doing their job. Overall it was a very good hard hitting game and the Dresden qb is one tough young man he took some hard hits and kept bouncing back. Turning point in the game occurred before the kickoff when FCS deferred the ball and took the wind. Two quick scores was all the tenacious FCS defense needed. Congratulations to Dresden on a Silver Ball but most of congratulations to FCS players coaches and fans on a well deserved long awaited GOLD BALL.

Must take about 1000+ yellow jacket fans to inflate a basketball. Because with about two minutes left that is about how many left the stands and I guess that is what they were planning on doing. Moss and Bishop Good Luck to the G Men on Friday Night. Region 4 is pulling for you guys. Nothing equalizes the speed like a wet field and it appears like Cold and Wet is in the weather forecast. Take advantage of mistakes and jump on them early, Gordonsville knows better than anyone that getting a lead is key to beating South Pitt.

We will never know what would have happened to last years FCS team vs Last Years South Pitt Team. We do know what happened with common opponents such as Temple and Gordonsville. We can always speculate but High School Football is a game of emotions. This years South Pitt team is head and shoulders above anyone I have seen in years. Can they be beat yes if they let their guard down it could happen this week. What we do know is last years FCS team Was Ready, and the record proved it. This years FCS team was Strictly Business and sometimes in business you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you. I obviously sturck a nerve because you signed up and used your first post to reply to my post. Welcome to Coach T. I do not think I ask anyone to talk to the Seniors from the 2007 team but I implied for them to learn from that group. Learning can happen a number of ways and the best way is to watch and observe. I think the future is bright for FCS and they had a successful season. Injuries and other things were a huge setback but they overcame adversity and the underclassmen grew up during the year and that will help build the future. As far as Mr. or Miss you can ask around the program most everyone knows who I am and I do not hide behind a screen name. I don't have a child involved I am just a fan who cares about seeing young men succeed in sports and life.

Truth is the way South Pitt runs the ball and with the depth you have at tailback throwing the ball with the clock running and becaue the mercy rule is in effect was probably a better way to run out the clock. In my opinion had South Pitt handed it off they probably would have scored. I see it as a opportunity for them to work on some plays and get some good practice time for your passing game that you might need down the road. Again as I stated before if SP stays focused and does not beat themselves no one comes withing two touchdowns. I told some people yesterday that the last team I saw with this kind of speed was when Riverdale had the Roper twins in the late 70's. This team has 4 or 5 players who can players who can break a 4.5 forty that is unheard of in Single A. Anyone who thinks the score was being run up look at the stats we held them to 2 touchdowns in the second half. It is the playoffs and these teams won't meet up again until next year if then. If we did not like what they were doing we should have stopped them and made them punt. I can't say if we would have been trying to score at that point or not had the roles been reversed, but what I do know is last year on our way to the State we put up a lot of points. When your team is on a role you don't want to stop the momentum and South Pitt is on a roll. FCS fans again yes they tried to score late with the starters in and we held them. The mercy rule was in effect so it was the same as a run and in my opinion had they run the ball they probably would have scored. Hopefully this game will motivate our Juniors and Sophomores to work hard for next year. The future is bright for those young men and we were defeated by a better football team and probably eventual State Champs. Football is a team sport and each link of the chain has to be strong, there is no I or Me in team and learn from the Seniors of the State Runner Up team it is not about who gets the golry but that you all get the glory. Next year starts today for the underclassmen, start building your team in the offseason.

Congratulations South Pitt you guys are the real deal. I thought your guys played a very disciplined game and the amount of speed you have is the most I have ever seen in 30+ years of football. I posted on another board that I don't think anyone can come with two touchdowns if you stay focused. FCS keep your heads up you lost to a very talented future State Champ.

If South Pitt stays focused and plays like they are capable of no one comes with in two touchdowns. I questioned their posters on here about how much they could score on Trousdale and FCS. Trust me if they are clicking on all cylinders and you don't get on top of them early it becomes a feeding frenzy. In 30+ years of watching high school football that is the most skill I have seen on one football team. FCS is not a slow team by any measure but I would bet that SP had 4 people who could outrun our fastest player. #24 big fast back, Stop him #21 can run and catch and absoultely float and make people miss him, they now have number 1 back and I think he is probably faster than any of them. The QB plays poised and manages the team and just uses his weapons. If you watch them or play them you will leave as I did shaking your head in disbelief of the amount of talent on a Single A team.

Why ol FCS has got a Sophomore manager who can heave the ball about 60 yards pretty spiral and all. We all stand around watching him throw it with our jaws dropping. Only problem is he has a steel pin in his back and will not ever be able to play.

Mo$$$ and Bishop congrats on your region championship. Region 4 needs to show up large like last year and have some rematches. Pirate Mike 48-13 I just don't see South Pitt scoring that many points against TC. The Legend will come in with the game plan of keeping the ball away from the SP offense and go on long time consuming clock running drives. I think SP can and probably will win this game but Defense is TC's game and SP won't get 6 or 7 real scoring opportunites unless turnovers come into play. Look at TC's record with the exception of Smith County their first team defense has not allowed more than two scores per game and they have played against some very good offensive teams. If TC allows SP to score 48 points the Legend will make them run home. Over and under on this game should be around 30, by far the best 1 vs 4 matchup in the State.

Just hit me this morning, FCS is two fumbles away from being undefeated in the district. Fumble on the 3 at Monterey, Giving Gordonsville the ball back on the 5. Not a knock on the young men who fumbled they were both trying to make plays. Just proving a point that this team has talent the injury bug and breaks have just been hard to overcome. I know if its and buts were candy and nuts yada yada yada. Also getting beat by 2A DCA is nothing to be ashamed of they beat #1 Goodpasture last night. Keep your heads up Green you just have to go out and take care of business on Friday Night. The JCS team that you played in the Boro last year got backed in the corner and we know how their season turned out. It is your time to come out full of fire and play like you have a point to prove.

Bishop I pointed you out to your uncle, small world. Nice to meet you and Mo$$$. It was a great game the chips just did not fall FCS's way. We had our opportunities but turning the ball back over to you on the five, missing the field goal and a pass interference on 4th down were just too much to overcome. When the pass was thrown over the middle in the final seconds I had flasbacks to last year unfortunately it fell incomplete. Would have been hard to hold on to that one with the lick that Smith delivered. Good Clean Game on both sides by two evenly matched teams. The playoffs start next week for FCS, they are backed in the corner and we are going to see what kind of animal they are next week.

A father of one of last years Seniors paid for them out of his pocket the last few years. Now that his son has graduated the hope was someone else would continue the tradition and no one stepped forward.

Well pride I think I just figured out who you are. You know up close and personal about the fireworks and I know where you go to school now. Enjoy your post and the fact you still follow your team, I hate to see people get on and represent the school in a Bitter way and say things about others. Thanks that you always keep your post positive and represent your past team and school in a fine manner. Cummins Commander Keep Painting Green and supporting your team, I think this years team lacks the support from the Seniors that last years team had and trust me folks like me recognized that you were at Monterey supporting your friends. I am not into predictions but we are in for a good ballgame and from the sounds of it we better bring our ear plugs because the horns will get loud. Mo$$ and Bishop ignore all the post that are slanderous I wish folks had to reveal who they really were and I think you would see a lot less of the negative post. Please keep in mind most of us are just regular folks like you and love to follow our kids and High School Sports. I just hope for an injury free clean game for both and if it is half as good as last years game it will be great.
