Coach Grider had been setting that up for awhile with the all the hitches being thrown to Chubb in earlier games. They were playing tight trying to jump the hitch and got burnt. We nearly got a couple intercepted in earlier games on the hitch so I'm sure glad it worked like it did. And establishing the deep threat early opened up the running game even more.

Just a friendly piece of advice...you need to get a thicker skin if you are going to spend much time on CoachT. Trash talking is not my favorite either but it's a fact of life here. Lighten up a little...it's a message board.

That is the plan but we still have a couple of weeks to schedule games so nothing is definite at this point. You have to have a certain number of home games to pay for the season. Should work out that way so don't panic yet

Sorry I don't get much time to socialize at games. I hope your son is OK. I hate to see any kid get hurt. When you have one on the field it hits home harder. Travis had a concussion when he was in 8th grade and recovered with no problems. I'm sure your son will be fine but I hate he missed the rest of the game.

Center and a guard will be back. Got some good younger kids that are gonna have to grow up

Good night last night...team meeting and film study after we checked in. Kids well behaved...even the freshman. Team breakfast at 8 AM. Then a little down time and then to the stadium for pre-game. This is a very focused bunch...we are on a BUSINESS TRIP!!!

Great deal on a bus ride to the state game in Cookeville...$15 and that includes the bus ride and a ticket to the game. Trying to fill up the last bus before the day is over. You have to to go by the school by 3 PM to get this deal. Tickets to the game will also be on sale until 3PM

I assure you the whole team knows who your son is. They have seen and heard about him a bunch this week (along with a dozen more). With him out there I'm not sure that kicking will be an issue.... but punting might! OK, OK... they let my skinny kid line up in the backfield every once and awhile. Just tell your son that #12 is off limits this week and we can still be friends

OK on extra points just not gonna try it farther back. Playing with college goalpost this week...about 2ft closer on each side BTW..my son is the kicker...and the punter..and he kicks off. He even lines up at QB sometimes
