  2. https://www.facebook.com/PLAYBALL2020 TWO TEAMS NEEDED for tournament MARCH 24 and 25th Perry County High's NFHS -sanctioned BUFFALO RIVER SPRINGFEST invitational softball tournament, takes place this coming Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25. The BUFFALO RIVER SPRINGFEST Class A/AA/and AAA tournament, celebrating its 15th year, is the only invitational softball tournament in the state, which does not have any team entry fee, nor any admission cost at the gate for fans attending games. The 15-team tournament has TWO team slots available, at this time. Every team plays four (4) pool games, with the top two teams, from each of the three pools, advancing. Games are 75-minute/finish the inning format, with coin flip determining home team. Our 13 teams confirmed (out of 15 slots), thus far: 1.) Culleoka School (Maury County) 2.) Decatur County-Riverside High 3.) Bruceton Central High (Carroll County) 4.) Halls High (Lauderdale County) 5.) Fairview High (Williamson County) 6.) Tipton-Rosemark Academy (Memphis) (TRA is our defending/2022 champion) 7.) Hickman County High 8.) Trinity Christian Academy (Jackson) 9.) Scotts Hill High (Henderson County) 10.) University School of Jackson 11.) Waterloo School (Alabama) 12.) Houston High (Memphis) 13.) HOST Perry County High For more information, or to enter the 2023 BUFFALO RIVER SPRINGFEST, contact HUGH WADDELL, tournament director @ 615.876.3400 or [email protected]
  3. Forgive me for bragging, but I'd like to give a tip of the cap to one of Scotts Hill's own. For the second time this season, Evan hit three dingers for the Vols in an SEC game (Mar. 27 LSU)... the third yesterday was a grand slam that secured the win against Vandy, and was his second of the game against Jack Leiter, who is the projected first pick in this year's draft. Let 'em hear that roar Evan! # ONCE A LION, ALWAYS A LION
  4. All right Coach T I have a very special request! I humbly ask that you lift up unspoken prayers for healing and understanding as fast as you can! I’m not gonna put on here what it’s about, but God will hear your prayers and know what they are for thank you Coach T
  5. Battle of the Cross county rivals is here again ! It’s time to pick sides in this family feud !! Who y’all got the mighty 4A Dawgs or the little brother that’s been knocking them Big Dawgs on their rumps for 4 years straight years The Golden Tide !?
  6. Hendersonville boys basketball team have some of the best talent in the region yet they continue to get out coached. This has been a constant for this coach as he once was the girls coach back in 2010. He killed the program then and is doing the same today to the boys. Time for new leadership. Current coaching effort is inept. I hear he is a great classroom teacher and that is great. Reason for post, I’ve been following a few of the players for several years thru middle school and AAU. This is the only coach in the Sumner county area to not benefit from the available talent pool. He has multiple guys on the team that should be recognized weekly but nothing to report under his guidance. Check the coach’s record, talk with the parents, and ask alumni that played for him. It is a Losing program. The community is not proud and HHS should make a change for the sake of the current players and future of the program. If it were a winning program beyond the wins & losses, I would not be making this call. The kids deserve better. The community deserves better.
  7. I’m a first year team looking for 6th and 7th grade girls to make a very good team. The only thing you will have to pay is for your jersey which is 60 dollars. Tryouts are Sunday 7th of March from 2-4 at McFadden Community center Murfreesboro my contact info is 615-596-2254 serious inquires and players that have played before.
  8. With CMCSS getting a late start to the season, how will everyone look? Will Central make the playoffs again? How will CA look? Will Rossview make some noise in 6a? Who will finish behind Henry County in the 5a region? I also hear it’s possible that CHS might not play Rossview on fall break off week.
  9. We are asking all athletes in the Middle Tennessee area to join us on November 3rd to honor Tullahoma High School's Eli Grow QB#8 who passed away in April 2016 in his senior year. 13. The Star Crusaders are very excited to announce that we will be adding three more teams this summer to give us a total of 5. Last summer our 18u team had a record of 18-4-4 with a tournament win, and would also have a total of 8 players going on to play at the next level. Our 16u team would go 11-12 after going 7-1 to end the summer, and making it to the championship game in their last tourny. We are adding a 15u, 17u, and one more 18u team. The Tri-Star Crusaders are dedicated to offering summer ball at a affordable price while getting the best coaching around from current and former collegiate/professional ball players. We are going to play with a lot of energy, while playing the game the right way! We are committed to getting your child a collegiate offer if that is something he is interested in. 21. Thank you to all who have served! We enjoy (and take for granted) freedoms that few societies have ever experienced since the beginning of civilization, and it's due to those who have fought to secure and preserve our independence. Within my lifetime, our boarders have never been threatened, nor our freedoms to worship as we choose, pursue financial security, or gather with whomever we wish been infringed upon... for all that our society owes our military a debt of gratitude that can never be overpaid. Sincerely, thank you all.
  22. Flashy Offensive play is fun to watch. Who does not like a 95 yard TD pass or 65 yard TD run? I'll tell you who. The Defensive Coordinator! In my opinion, DEFENSE is what wins championships. It's SUPER EARLY, but lets hear who everyone thinks has the best chance at a Gold Ball based on their Defense. Super weird coming from a former O-Lineman I know. I see Alcoa and Maryville and I see two defenses that are always tops in their Class. Who will be the Alcoa and Maryville in 4A this year? AND.......GO!!!
  23. The Daily Times is reporting that the City Council approved a project to install an artifitial turf field at Maryville High School. This is badly needed due to drainage problems. The field is usually in pretty bad shape by playoof time. Apparently there is a large amount of community support.
