YOU COMPETE IN YOUR OWN AGE DIV. IF YOU HAVE 10 TEAMS IN THE TOURY ALL COMPETE FOR 2 SPOTS TO GO ON TO THE STATE TOURNY. FROM THE 4 REGIONS 8 TEAMS WILL END UP IN THE STATE TOURNY. FROM THERE THE TOP 4 TEAMS WILL ADVANCE TO THE NATIONALS. THE OTHER 8 TEAMS CAN GO ON TO THE DIV 2 STATE AND DO THE SAME AS THE DIV 1. THE TOP 4 TEAMS WILL GO ON TO THE DIV 2 NAT.

Do you have to compete in the Division 1 before you enter the Div 2 tourney?

no to enter Div. II you just have to play in the state qualifing tournament and cannot finish in the top 2 or cannot be offered a bid to the Div. I state.
