From what I have been told, Hill had surgery yesterday. He could miss 4-6 months.

Very tough break for the Jackets and their fine young QB. I know they made an outstanding run with him at the helm last season and they were expecting great things from next years squad with him leading the offense. I hope he makes a quick recovery and the Jackets regroup and have another banner season.

 

Sunbright '05 will have alot of potential. Coach Newberry and Coach Wilson will work hard to get the players out and get them excited about the game. They have a favorable schedule which could lead them to building some momentum before they face the heavy hitters in their region, with the exception of Greenback. Very possible for them to 5-5 and just miss the playoffs. With a junior laden team, such a season could be a stepping stone for their '06 squad to make a return to the playoffs.

Scott's too strong and athletic for the Tigers...unless they have some surprises and I really don't think they do.

I think Sunbright will do very well against Scott High. I think they have scrimmaged them the last couple of years and if im not mistaken they tied or maybe even beat them both times.

Well im not gonna mention the scriamges in the past. All i know is that im really lookin forward to playing sunbright. I think or well i hope that they arent just gonna be a push over team that we just run over! Really lookin for a good scrimage tho!

Sunbright beat Cosby 2-1 in a scrimmage last Friday and looked better offensively. They have some good weapons in Jordan Young, Willie Dutton, Heath Abercrombie, Preston Steelman, Brandon Thompson and Dustin Lavender. Adam Pyles looks impressive on both sides of the line and appears to bulked up quite a bit. Sunbright could be the most improved team in the region.
