Ok, I'm here. First off, congrats to Coach Garland and the Soddy Daisy Trojans! Great job two nights in a row. See, no excuses, you just played better than the Owls did!

In response to the last few threads, you are correct - at least on most accounts.

Ooltewah won the regular season title my junior year under the direction of Mark Smith. If my memory serves me correctly, we finished second in the district tourney and then lost to Bradley Central in a close one in the first game of the region. This was still the Gene Lively, and talent, era at Central, so they might have been the tourney champs - and regular season I think.

Then in 2002, Joe Wingate's first year, Ooltewah had a very rough first half of the year. Then came back to finish either 2nd or 3rd in the regular season standings. After defeating Red Bank in the district championship game, the Owls defeated Cleveland in the first round of the district tourney and then beat Red Bank two nights later to win the region crown. Then they beat Oakland at Oakland to go to state.

In 2003 and 2004, the Owls won the regular season title in great fashion, only to make a rather quick exit from the post-season tournament. Last year, Soddy (the 4th seed in the tourney) won both the district and region tournaments on their way to state.

So if the tradition holds, either Central or Red Bank has the better chance in the post season than Soddy or Ooltewah - especially the Trojans.....but in reality, these last three teams can beat each other on any given night. Since Soddy beat Ooltewah twice and Soddy got beat by Red Bank, since Ooltewah beat Red Bank big twice, who's better? Haha, don't you love 6-AAA????

    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
    • I heard it was ugly.  Coach Harig and the Redskins demolished what is left of the Dragon Wagon.  At this point, it is not certain that Clinton will even be able to field a football team for 2024.  No way the coach keeps his job, transfers gone, nothing left.  Back to the stone ages for the Dragoons.
    • Not even close, changing over 1000 grades?  Head coach changing grades to keep players on the field?  Not the same.  They will give Lieutenant Flip Flops the "Opportunity to resign"  right after graduation if not before.     Negative, the juvenile court judge blew the whistle.  Clinton admin, teachers and coaches started this fire.  Been going on for 4 years now according to Jones, one of the teachers that was fired.  This is truly pathetic.   The Dragon Wagon is #### up in the ditch down on highway 61 down there near The Spur.  Reap what you sew.
    • What ever happened to the #93 rb that came in and did well last year when yalls RBs we’re going down?
    • Going to be a rough season for coach Egghead and the hawks. Everyone picking the under
