vjames601
How will you identify each participant at the showcase? Should the girls where something with their names on the back of their shirts?
Coach Mo
Each prospect will be given a Worth T-Shirt that has a number on the back of it. The number on the back of the shirt will match the number on their profile that is in the recruiting guide.... Also, the shirts will be different colors based on the year you will be graduating. For instace 2006 graduates will be in white, 2007 will be in blue, and 2008 will be in red.
Coach Mo
I just hung up the phone with Coach Jose Garcia of Belmont University in Nashville, and he will be attending the showcase as well.
CoachM2
Do you have any information on the cost? And who will be helping with the camp?
Coach Mo
The cost to participate in the showcase is $125... Each participant will receive a showcase T-Shirt that must be worn during the event, approximately 8 hours of exposure, and a copy of their player profile for future use. The college coaches will receive a professionally bound and printed color recruiting guide, catered dinner, and all day access to 75-100 prospects. The showcase will be directed by the staff of Gold Medal Sports Marketing. Assisting in the skills sessions, and scrimmages will be high school, and summer ball coaches from the Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia area. You can email Coach Higdon directly at jhigdon2003@yahoo.com if you want to know the specific names of the coaches working the showcase. vjames601
Thanks for the info. This sounds like a great opportunity so show these coaches your abilities. I've got a couple girls from our team that will be there. I've got one question, can the parents talk to any of these coaches while they are there? Coach Mo
Great question? Actually the NCAA forbids these college coaches from talking wth players or parents until after July 1st of their senior years. We have to be very careful to avoid any situations that might put the coaches in an awkward situation. With that in mind, parents and spectators will not not be allowed into the coaches areas. Parents will be able to watch the event from behind the outfield fenses only.

larry
I assume you are paying Coach T an advertising fee from the $125 per player?
