Class A: Region 5 Favorites

White House-Heritage will suprise a lot of people.

White House Heritage could be able to make the playoffs this year but if they do it will be the fourth spot

McEwen is a top contender. Not to knock Heritage but tha past 2 yrs. of scrimmages have prove to be us with the upper hand. If you just look at our record you can't judge us, cuz our schedule has produced multiple state champs. But if you don't believe me just come watch.

The coaches poll in Murphy Fairs magazine has region 5 this way.

1-Cascade

2-Forest

3-JoBryns

4-Eagleville

5-McEwen

6-Nashville Christian

7-White House Heritage

8-Clarksville Academy

 

Sounds like to me the coaches think the Old region 6 teams will dominate, with the exception of JoBryns. My prediction is that the winner of the Cascade/Eagleville game will take the region with JoBryns 3rd and Forrest and Nashville Christian fighting it out for the last playoff spot.

Cascade's pre-season schedule is :

 

Friday, Aug 5th - Scrimmage vs. Unionville

Wednesday, Aug 10 - Practice day @Shelbyville Central

Saturday, Aug 13th - Forrest Jamboree (Opponent TBA)

Thursday, Aug 18th - Scrimmage @ Gordonsville

 

Opening Game: Week 1 Moore County @Cascade

Eagleville has a practice day with Ezell Harding on on Aug. 5 at Eagleville. The scimmage should be in the afternoon. This is the only scrimmage that Eagleville will have

I think that forrest will have a good year next yr. They lost 3 seniors, who we really need. that might affect us in the long run. Jeremy Lamb, Clayton Joyce, and Ryan Blake are three assets to our team that are really gonna hurt. Without Ping's speed, I'm scared for our offense.

Why did Forrest lose those three seniors did they get hurt, quit or something else. Two of them are mention in this years Murphy Fair.

Cascade should be the early favorites. Coach Parker will have a huge off line for Class A. Their 1st game is with Moore Co. Moore Co is in another Region, but this game will tell a lot about what Cascade has. Eagleville could finish 2nd
