You have to play some defense to close the gap. One of the worse defenses in supposedly a region contender that I have seen in a long time. When cold weather comes, if it does, they will really struggle even on offense. You will not go very far in the playoffs giving up, almost 400 yds rushing.

Blackman has several stars in skill positions. Oakland has very good players in all positions, defense, offense and special teams. Very good players, depth in all positions, excellent coaching wins over a few stars every time. The game will be over by the end of the third quarter. What happens at the freshman level will happen at the varsity level.

I will repeat, what happens at the freshman level, will happen at the varsity level. Look at the scores the last several years.

Has anyone ever check the record of Oaklands freshman team the last 6 years or so. One loss. That speaks for itself. Sure they get there share of transfers, that comes from having a great program. But there greatness starts below. They have a very good freshman coaching staff. Check out the scores of their games the last several year's.

Yes, Oakland has gotten some tranfers the last few years. The key to their success has nothing to do with tranfers. Their freshman team has lost one game in six years. The middle school loses seldom plus Oakland has an awesome younger feeder program. Their is no cheating just hard work. Creasey does an awesome job of promoting his program. You do not have clue.

I love this years Oakland Team. But the 1970 Murfressboro Central team is by far the best team I have ever seen. 16 players signed college scholarships. Tennessee, Oklahoma, Miss. State. Vanderbilt, Tn State, MTSU and so for. Beat Memphis Melrose 39-0. Only three divisions then.

Fayetteville has a hard time closing out games. We beat them three times in games just like this. Came from behind just like Humbodt. Great comeback for Humbolt. Fayetteville is toast.

Humbolt might have a comeback but they are being outplayed and out hustled. Where are there athletes?

Oakland wing t is a hybrid not your typical two tight end set. Occasionally they do that. They run shotgun an even a triple I in short yardage situations. They at times have 2 and 3 wideouts. Sure there run game is there bread and butter but all that other stuff makes them hard to prepare for. There are top high school teams all over the country that run the wing t from Oregan, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and so forth. Also have you notice how well they do in 7 on 7 competition. Believe it or not they can pass when needed.

You are right, lot of talent coming back on these teams. There were several sophomores starting for both teams last night. Those who talk about the private schools being so much better. Oakland scrimages Brentwood Academey about every year. We dominated them this year freshman, jv and varsity. I believed they scored one or two times. I know it is only a scrimages but it is what is. This is a very good team, you might not like the offense they run but they don't care they have the gold ball.

Awesome game for Oakland. The best Murfreesboro team I seen since the 1970 Undefeated Murfreesboro Central team. Yes I'm old enough to see them both play.

Do you realize their is more D 1 recruits in this game than ever before in a Tennessee High School championship Game. D1 recruits all over the field. You don't have clue.

Just my opiinion. The Riverdale teams in the Rankin's years were aweful good but the amount of D1 college prospects on Whitehaven and Oakand is pretty amazing. I'm a Riverdale graduate.

Have no idea who is going to win. But probably the most talent on a Tennessee High School football field ever. I've seen a lot of football in my time, grew up in Murfreesboro. This is the best team from Murfreesboro since the 1970 Murfreesboro Central team that blew out Memphis Melrose. Whitehaven is loaded with talent, college prospects all over the field. Next year's game will probably be a repeat. A high scoring game favor Whitehaven, low scoring Oakland. Go Patriots.

I know it's just a scrimmage, a tough one at that. From what I observed Oakland dominated. A lot of athletes at Oakland. Same thing happened last year and Ravenwood turned it around. Any other observations.

The 1970 Murfreesboro Central team is by far the best team I have seen. 26 players from that team (70,71) committed to play college ball. Some of the better players went to schools like Tennessee, Vanderbuilt, Oklahoma, Mississippi St, others went to TN State, MTSU and etc. Riverdale has had some great teams but nothing compare to the 1970 Central team. Central destroyed Memphis Melrose in the finals. Two years later Central was divided into two schools, Riverdale and Oakland. Central beat Tenn. High in Bristol in the semi finals. Their are a couple of youtube videos about the 1970 Central team. The videos are awesome. The 1970 Central team is definitely the best High School team I have ever seen. In Murfreesboro they are known as the 1970 Dream Team.

Food for thought, for all those guru's that say Eagleville plays a very week schedule. Eagleville strength of schedule rank 11th, Gordonsville 19th but I am sure yall guru's have an explanation.

Much younger team than last year, just a few seniors. A pretty good throwing qb so we are balanced on offense. Played with a lot of injuries this year but healthy now. D is strong. I'm sure we don't have a chance according to all of these High School football guru's but the game still has to be played. GO EAGLES

Simple an offensive lineman in the end zone. About my statement concerning goal line stand. i got my info off of WGNS Murfressboro who was covering the Siegal vs Blackman. game and they gave info using the phrase goal line stand, sorry about miss info. Go Eagleville. I think Eagleville was on the 4or 5yd line when time ran in their first game. I sure Itis tough to lose one like that. Like I said earlier Go Eagles.

Should be a great game. Could go either way. Being a homer I go with Eagleville because of their balanced offense and finally they are healthy. Lots of injuries this year.
