Camden-Hickman-Peabody Scrimmage

Just got back from the three way scrimmage... Camden's starters scored 4 times, two on each team and gave up less than 50 yards to both combined. The second string however gave up two touch downs and only scored one.

I only saw Josh Boyd get the ball three times and he had about 75 yards.

Trenton looked like they have some strong players coming up. Their starters were tougher than Hickman Co., but noone really stopped Camden's starters. At all.

It was a three way scrimmage and they rotated O and D every 10 plays. Camden scored twice in thier first ten against Trenton, then scored once against Hickman, then again thier next offensive series, against Hickman. The starting defense didn't give anything up. They probably didn't give up nearly 50 yards and had a bunch of sacks. Then we played the younger guys the rest of the way. The young kids got A LOT of playing time. It bodes well for the future.

I'm looking forward to the scrimmage in Milan. It should be a hard hitting little quarrel.

Hickman looked a step or two behind all day but had a couple bright spots...they have a good looking RB..very tall and pretty much carried defenders along with him...when the line gets up to speed he will be something...and they also seem pretty fired up on the side lines...Peabody looked decent but wasn't able to really move the ball well except against Camden's 3rd stringers...Camden's d looked very good...no one was able to move the ball well at all even with all the subs and there was good penetration in the backfield....the offense really didn't show much and seemed to still be hunting for the go-to-guy in the passing game (QB and receiver)....rushing we looked good even with Boyd being subbed out most of the scrimmage...the line looks pretty solid but we anticipated that...tomorrow's scrimmage against Milan should be a good one that may answer some of the question marks and then Friday we should see what's what against Union City...gonna be a fun year for sure thumb
