I've heard that many scholarly young men from all over the metropolitan Nashville area who also tend to be very large and fast attend BA because of its reputation as an academic powerhouse and also to play football.

BA has a very good football program, maybe the best in the state...But I have heard many people complain that they are recruiters and hand out scholarships to good athletes all over the mid-state. Not that I personally care, but does that seem fair?

I assure you that it is exagerated bragging. People used to brag about cars being offered and all sorts of booty, but it always turned out to be inaccurate.

Sure you have. My cousins girlfriends daddys college roomate heard that they are already recruiting Steve McNair's kids to attend school there.

The recruiting discussion is cliche and based completely upon either hearsay, bias, or, in some cases, perhaps jealousy. If it were based on empirical fact, it would be a valuable topic; since it is not, it can accomplish nothing beneficial.

 

If you have solid evidence, send it to the TSSAA. Otherwise, keep it off our message boards.
