MILESTONE FOR SIEGEL PROGRAM

During the White County game on Tuesday, Tikedra Jones (TJ ) as she is fondly known) scored her 1,000th point to become the first player ever, in the schools short history, to achieve this goal.

 

Not only has Tikedra led the team in scoring each year, but she has been THE team leader through her actions on and off the basketball court. It is rare to find a person who truly leads by example, rather than with words. Her unassuming nature and constant upbeat mentality will be impossible to replace after graduation.

 

As important as TJ is on offense, she may be even more important to the team on defense. She always draws the top opposing player to defend and 99% of the time completely shuts them down. Siegel leads the Region in defense, allowing just over 41 points a game, while scoring nearly a dozen more points than their opponents. TJ is a MAJOR factor in this accomplishment, as well.

 

TJ will, no doubt, play at the next level, but more importantly will succeed academically and in life. She is the only Principle List student on a team that includes a number of honor students. Congratulations Tikedra, on reaching the 1,000 point milestone!
