Then you have a very bad source because I know all of them and I know that they would not say that. All 5 seniors are very competitive and Im sure after they focus on Warren Co. and hopefully win that game, they will be prepared for Siegel.

Three of those 4 starters believed with all their heart that they could beat Riverdale in football.....and face, it Siegel in bball is no Riverdale in fball.

I just don't see Wolf, Stearman, or Hennigan ever thinking the word Lose, much less to say it aloud.

As everybody knows any team in District 7aaa has a chance against anybody. And I dought they said that.

Matt and Roper are both good players on good teams. I respect Roper because of how much he contributes to Siegel's success. I am friends with Matt, and was on the team with him last year so I know he works hard too. Siegel/Cookeville will be a good game, but both teams have games before then.

Also, I don't know anyone on Cookeville's team that would say or think that they don't have a chance against Siegel.

I agree, know one from Cookeville would say that they have no chance against Siegel.

I'm sorry but they said it guys. ..They know what cheerleaders they were around that night. They may have backed off of that after cooling off from the shock and anger of the first game and have a lil more sense but at the time thats what was said. I'm sure they are thinking more rational about it now

I hope they've changed the outlook if it really was said...if they come into Siegel worried about losing then they will lose, the Nation will be loud and the gym will be hostile

He meant that Siegel is more likely to lose a basketball game or get upset that Riverdale is in football

Exactly....Riverdale was undefeated in football for WAYYYYYY over a yr. Cookeville took on the State champs who were still undefeated when they played. We already know that Siegel has lost three. Was never meant to be a putdown for either team, just trying to emphasize that if they weren't afraid to take on Riverdale, I doubt they are afraid of anyone and that includes OHS.

It's also a lot easier in my opinion to go undefeated in football than it is in basketball...compare 30+ games with about 13, or however many it is in hs football i'm not totally sure...but riverdale has been good as long as I can remember

Mine would be:

Keith Ramsey(Siegel)

Chassion Allen(Oakland)

Nick Payne(Lebanon)

Jimmy Oden(Siegel)

Matt Hill(Cookeville)

Player of the Year

Chassion Allen, he is leading the only team that is undefeated in district play.

This is an excellent post. All these are great players, but I do think J-Wade from Oakland should have a place somewhere on this list

They are building a football field there I think but the rich pricks of Farragut won’t let them get lights so they are possibly looking at property to build a stadium & field with lights
