To commemorate my arrival on the board, I'll give my inside report on what really is going to happen on Saturday:

103-Cole Perrin dec. Trey stavrum (Flyweight Squeaker) 9-7

M- 3 B-0

112- Bailey Whitaker dec. Shil Singh 11-9 (OT)

Look for regulation to not be enough for these two bruisers. I Expect to see

a few lateral drops both from both Red and Blue. I pick Bailey

because even though he started out flat, the 2005 champ

won't be denied Saturday.

M-3 B-3

119 Nathan Hughes dec. Downey/Popp 7-4

A much-improved Hughes takes this one in a very workman-like fashion.

M-6 B-3

125 Ben Johnson pins ALMOST EVERYBODY

I look for a topwork clinic to be put on by the 2005 champ

M-6 B-9

130 Joe Young dec. Mike Bell 8-4

Look for a rebounding Young to emerge victorious as Bell struggles to keep

it close. T2-E1. T2-E1...

M-9 B-9

135 Mr. Manson pins Newman

The saga continues...

M-9 B-15

140 Will Young dec. Jed Hussein 10-5

Look for a dominant performance by the defending champ, as a very

well-conditioned Young outlasts Hussein and turns him in the third.

M-12 B-15

145 Reed Doster dec. Goss 6-4.

This is Reed's year to beat Goss. After seeing his performance against two-

time GA champ, Greg Hopkins (Ringgold) and Goss's sub-par showing

against Felix (GP West Inv.), I see Doster winning the battle on his feet.

M-12 B-18

152 Daniel Waddell pins Campbell

Look for the two-time runner-up to continue on his way to possible DII OW.

M-12 B-24

160 Brenton Austin maj. dec. Stroud 13-5

Austin looked tough against Flynn last time. Mat time will win this one for Blue

M-16 B-24

171 Robinson pins ANYBODY IN RED

M-22 B-24

189 Derek Walker dec. Cook 10-4

Cook at 100% maybe beats him on a good day (Because he's tough as

nails), but not on the 28th. Look for Red to get an early lead, ride Cook in

the 2nd, and make a valiant effort to get the major before the close of the

3rd.

M-22 B-27

215 Huffaker pins Watson

Charles and McClain get ready; this one shouldn't take too long for a much-

improved Huffaker.

M-28 B-27

HWT Charles Green dec. McCain Still 4-3 (maybe 5-4 if the man in

stripes makes as many stalling calls as he should)

Oh the agony...Look for this match to last around 15 minutes, as both

wrestlers pummel each other out of bounds for three excruciating

periods. But Charles will get redemption from the last time he lost to

Still...at home.

McCallie: 31

BAYLOR: 27

And that's the gospel according to Mr. Wonderful. Now can I get an Amen, Harry and Brownie??

Very astute Mr. Wonderful. Just an observation or two: I see Meadows in a close loss to Downey at 119 and Hughes sacraficed to Mr. Johnson. Interesting switch at 135 / 140. Not sure that we'll see it THIS weekend. I think that Doster does match up better with Goss than he does with Toney, and it should be a good one. Won't Spitalny be at 152? I'd be surprised to see a major at 160, and think it could go either way. Won't it be interesting to see where Mr. Robinson weighs in.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
