Eric Atchley of 5A Soddy-Daisy will play at Furman

Soddy-Daisy all-state wide receiver Eric Atchley has committed to play football for the Furman Paladins. The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder will sign on Wednesday at Soddy-Daisy High School which is located just outside of Chattanooga.

 

Atchley chose Furman over Princeton. He was also offered a scholarship by Wofford.

 

Atchley had 75 catches for 1,044 yards this past season and caught nine touchdown passes. A three-year starter, he had games of 247 yards, 209 yards, 115 yards, 108 yards, and 124 yards.

If it was, this kid has a great pair of hands. The best receiver I saw last year. Glad to hear he's got a scholarship.
