correct me if I'm wrong but isn't DB playing in rotary this weekend...if so we will find out then.

And also...do all those #2 matches include the Carter Classic and Rotary tournaments? Because I'm pretty sure he didn't win his division at those 2 tourneys, could be wrong but based on the competition there...doubtful. :D

You all won't see much from DB this weekend at Rotary. First of all, our best player had his MRI back and he does in fact have a broken left ankle (hair line fracture). He did it from snowboarding, and yes, everybody is ######' upset at him. Second, our 2nd best player will default his first match because he has to take the ACT. Thirdly, our 3rd best player will play a couple of matches, but has to default the rest because he has some business he has to take care of (i don't know what). Fourthly, our 4th best player will not be there, as he will be at a trip in NY.

After Rotary...tops in the state look like this for AAA

Siegel

Science Hill

Brentwood....

(Next level down)

Everyone else

One of those 3 will win it all...my money is on either Science Hill or Siegel...Brentwood was non-existent this weekend.

Science Hill looked like they had a pretty strong lineup this weekend and Brentwood is about what I expected, theonly difference is I think Science Hill actually cared how they did in the tournament. Siegel IMO is the favorite to win it in AAA

I find Science Hill's lineup to be pretty "odd" though...

Alexander Greer

Jay Wilkinson

Chris Smith

Tim Cooper

Drew Kerr

No way Chris Smith should be playing 3 in my opinion. Maybe 2 at the lowest.

    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
