I'm a little surprised by McCallie's scores. I thought they would have put some more up against both teams they played. Probably just working the rust off I guess.

 

Houston seems to have turned in a pretty good performance.

 

I got a report from Ohio. I was a little worried about the Big Red on this trip after I watched them look pretty rusty vs. Vandy on Thursday. From what I have heard, they worked out the kinks and turned in a pretty good performance winning scrimmages against St. Xavier and Moeller and losing a scrimmage to Indian Hill while playing a freshman in cage for the whole game. It's hard to gain a lot of perspective based on a scrimmage, especially when coaches are experimenting with a lot of different personnel, but I'm glad to hear MBA was able to run well with some pretty athletic programs. I think they've got a lot of potential for this season, and as long as they can get a handfull of younger guys to step up in some supportive roles, I think they may exceed a lot of people's expectations.
