BigDogDaddy
I got to the match a little late, it was 3-3. While I probably missed some good scoring, there was plenty left to see! These two teams were as evenly matched as they come, with action running the entire length of the field all afternoon long. Neither team was willing to quit. Franklin went up 6-5 with an announced 4 minutes to play and then just as you started to wonder whether the match wasn't over, the officials called out "one minute to play." As Franklin tried to kill play in their offensive end with Taylor Malone #5 running around ,Centennial seemed to pick up their pace and quickly stripped Malone, went the length of the field with three quick passes, and scored, locking the match at 6! Overtime gave both teams opportunities but it was Andrew Slemp #22, making up for being offsides earlier, who scored the winning goal for the Rebels. XxXJoJoXxX
Ye haw Franklin pulled off the win in this battle but there is still one more to come. And let me tell you it was quite the opposite last year this time with Centennial winning and Franklin pulled it together to beat them by 2 in the second meeting. So i know that Centennial is going to be working their butts off to beat Franklin the second go round and its on their home field too. This doesnt mean Franklin cant do it but they better not expect them to just lay down either. I gaurantee it will be close the next time too. thinklax
To be honest the first game doesn't even matter. The new rule is if you win the second game of the divisional match up then you take the win of the two games. Say you and centennial end up in a tie for first place, if Centennial beat you in the second game and you won the first, then Centennial gets first place. No more of this add up the score of the two games and whoever has more goals goes on.
