What's up with Henry County this year!

Is is true that they have several starters injured? I just heard that they got beat by 15 or 16 runs last night. That is not characteristic of a Henry County team. Do they have a new coach this year?

Yes they do have a couple starters injured. Also the coach is a second year coach. They are very young this year and are having trouble making routine plays. They hope to be peaking come district tournament time.

Who is the coach there now and what happened to the old coach that was there.

Brian Welp is the new coach. Paul Putnam was the previous coach. He is now coaching football.

Brian is a good coach. The team will get better...they are very young

Is there a problem at Henry County?

I hope not, as a coach and as a person with many ties to the Paris area. I grew up playing summer ball there and have the majority of my family there. Henry County has always had tradition and many great baseball players. Let's hope they are getting things going again.

We played them 2 games last week. They played with spirit and hussle, just didn't make the plays or swing the bats.

They have had a rough year as far as injuries go. Spencer Plott is out for the year and Joey King was injured last week. Not sure if he is back in the rotation yet. I think they are very inexperienced on the mound.
