MBA beats Grissom

MBA from Nashville, TN visited Arndt Field and proved to be a strong test for the Tigers. From the opening whistle, MBA matched Grissom’s speed and pressured the defense. Grissom settled down and started working short passing combinations, and with 8 minutes gone, Ben Estes was awarded a PK after being fouled in the box. Ben’s conversion gave the home team a one goal lead which stood for the first half.

 

Each team created scoring opportunities and challenged each other in a wide open fairly evenly played game. MBA evened the score in the second half with a well placed shot off a free kick just outside the Grissom 18. The game looked like it would end in a 1-1 tie when late in the contest MBA took advantage of an open net after the Grissom keeper had come out for a clearance. The MBA midfielder’s deftly placed shot from about 50 yards out found the net and gave the Tigers their third loss of the season.Southern Soccer Challenge Summary

He's not taking a thing away from MBA. He's just pointing out that it was a pretty even game, as the score suggests.

i don't see how i am taking away from mba i just pointed out how they won

 

100% of time you see a open net you take it no matter what the score is it happens in hockey all the time

since i played nd was there i will give a good report, mba played well creating more chances in the first 10 to 15 mins of the game, grissom got a pk call, a controversy one at that and finalized, for the rest of the half it was all grissom, with mba getting the ocasional chances, the second half was a totally different game, it was very even the whol game but after we scored a freekick halfway through about grissom droped their heads, next thing you kno the grissom keeper makes a terrible mistake nd again mba finalize with about a 30-40 yard chip over his head nd into the back of the net. after that mba did well of wasting time nd grissom couldnt find the same chances they should have scored in the first half
