who will birdie and finish second and host the district tournament?

http://www.riverdalewarriors.com/baseball/standings.html

or

http://www.riverdalewarriors.com/baseball/standings.pdf

Monday's games:

Blackman (6-6) at White Co (2-10)

Cookeville (5-7) at Riverdale (12-0)

Oakland (6-6) at Lebanon (5-7)

Warren Co (6-6) at Siegel (6-6)

Tuesday's games are same just at other teams' site:

By-Law Tie-Breakers:

1) Best District Winning Percentage

2) Head-To-Head

3) Record against rest of district, highest to lowest seed

4) Head to Head run differential (between all teams tied)

5) Run differential against rest of the district

6) Coin Flip

Any predictions or what-ifs out there???

Please give an example of number three. Also, if three teams are tied it should come down to their record against each other before anything else.

You look at how tied teams did against the top seed - if one of the tied teams has a better record than the rest of the tied tied against that team, then they win the tie-breaker - if no one has a better record against that team, then you go the the next team and then compare those records..... and repeat the cycle until you have a winner..

Lets do a hypothetical that would illustrate this:

IF ...

1) Riverdale 14-0

2) Blackman 8-6

3) Warren Co 7-7

4) Siegel 7-7

5) Oakland 7-7

6) Lebanon 6-8

7) Cookeville 5-9

8) White Co 2-12

tie-breakers:

Warren Co, Oakland and Siegel?

Oakland is odd-man-out - both Warren Co and Siegel swept them!

Warren Co over Siegel because Warren Co has a win over Lebanon

and Lebanon swept Siegel!

see how it works?

In the chance of a split between Siegel and WC, does it affect the standings at all that WC lost to White County, last place in the district?

Im not sure about the Boro, but is nice in Nashville... I'm guessing it is in Murfreesboro too, Reavis got the tarp on, so there should be no problem tonight.

Not unless their records were identical against every team up to #8 White Co - which probably would not be the case...

You guy a forgetting a crucial element Blackman will sweep White County so the only team that can knock Blackman out of Second place is oakland

One of many 'what if' permutations....

To make it more official, who are the probable pitchers tonight and tomorrow?

I have a hunch that Riverdale will throw Chason Choate tonight and Matt Utterback tomorrow (in their normal spots in the rotation)

Who will everyone else be starting tonight and tomorrow - any ideas?
