NASHVILLE TRAVEL BASKETBALL

Recommended Posts

I HAVE SAT BACK AND WATCHED AS ALL THESE POST HAVE COME OUT SINCE SUNDAY AND I MUST SAY I AM NOT SUPRISED BY WHAT IS BEING SAID BY PEOPLE INSIDE THE THUNDER ORGANIZATION. EVERY TIME THERE IS A DISPUTE IT 9 TIMES OUT OF 10 INOVOVLES THE THUNDER. I HAVE BEEN AROUND BASKETBALL IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE I WANT TO REMAIN UNKNOWN. I KNOW EDDIE WISDOM AND I ALSO KNOW THE PEOPLE FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ARUGUMENT. ED WISDOM SINCE I HAVE KNOWN HIM IS ONE OF THE MOST UPFRONT PEOPLE IN THIS BUSINESS. THIS GUY LOOKS OUT FOR ALL THE KIDS JUST AS MUCH AS HE LOOKS OUT FOR ERIK. IT SEEMS LIKE MIDDLE TENNESSEE IS ALWAYS ARGUING WITH EACH OTHER TO WHERE WE CANT GET THE BOYS ALL IN ONE PROGRAM. I DO HAVE SOME QUESTIONS FOR THUNDER PEOPLE AS I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL OF THE TOP TOURNAMENTS TO SCOUT KIDS IN THE STATE.

1) WHY HAVENT YOU ALL BEEN TO ONE TOURNAMENT IN APRIL WHERE COLLEGE COACHES ARE IN ATTENDENCE. AND YOU HAVE MICHAEL MACADOO AND DEMONTE HARPER ALSO WIL PETERS ON YOUR TEAM. WHY WOULD YOU NOT PUT THEM INFRONT OF COACHES. YOU SEE WHAT KIND OF NOISE GERALD AND JAMIE BROUGHT THERE WAY. CHECK Unapproved Website IF YOU MISSED THAT.

2) WHY ARE YOUR PARENTS ALWAYS THE ONES INTESGATING SOMETHING. YOU HAVE A COUPLE OF KIDS ON YOUR 16 YEAROLD TEAM THAT PEOPLE HATE JUST BECAUSE OF THERE MOTHERS.

I WOULD LIKE A CIVILIZED ANSWER TO MY QUESTIONS BECASUE EVERY PROGRAM INCLUDING THE STALLIONS HAS BEEN INFRONT OF COLLEGE COACHES BUT THE THUNDER AND EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT IN APRIL YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AT THE BIG TOURNAMENTS.

OTHER COACHES PLEASE RESPOND AND TELL ME IF I AM WRONG.

TRS1, I know Ed and he is a good coach in both his style and bball brain. I don't see why anyone has a problem with him.

I KNOW ED WISDOM IS A GOOD COACH I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HIM IT IS JUST THESE BITTER THUNDER PEOPLE THAT FOR SOME REASON THE DONT LIKE HIM. I WOULD STILL LIKE TO HAVE SOMEBODY FROM THEM ANSWER MY QUESTION. WHY DONT THEY PLAY IN MAJOR TOURNAMENTS TO GET THE BOYS SEEN.LETS GET SOME ANSWERS GOING I KNOW ALOT OF YOU TALK ABOUT THIS SUBJECT BUT SOME PEOPLE ARE SCARED TO TALK UP ON THIS.

Sounds to me like someone is using this board to slam the Thunder in order to steal their players. Classic example of no class. I would rather have my son play for the Thunder than some other organizations in that area.

aGAIN I AM NOT BASHING THE THUNDER I WANT FACTS WHY WOULD YOU WANT YOUR SON TO PLAY FOR THE THUNDER THIS IS JUST A POST. tHE bALLERZ STARS AND CELTICS ALL HAVE PLAYED 3 TIMES IN FRONT OF COLLEGE COACHES WHY HAVENT THEY BEEN TO ANY TOURNAMENTS CAN YOU HONESTLY TELL ME THAT THEY ARE HELPING THERE PLAYERS BY NOT PUTTING THEM IN THE TOURNAMENTS WITH COACHES

Wow! This is getting heated. Why don't we just let the kids playthe game of basketball. Now you see why so many high school basketball coaches hate for their players to play AAU, and just want them to go to team camps. There is to much fighting and petty arguments going on. But I would like for somebody to answer Real Story's question , about why Tennessee Thunder doesn't go to the big time tournaments. Because Tennessee Thunder is one of my favorite AAU teams to watch, especially because to my opinion they have one of the best backcourts in all 16u teams and most 17u teams.

I know you dont. I'm agreeing with you. I have no idea about the thunder's decisions though.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
