Franklin Payne just graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in kinesiology. He played football 4 years for the Illini.

Was he just a special teams player or what? Did he ever start or really contribute or was he a practice player? It is good to hear that he graduated and is making something of himself. Too many kids nowdays just want to sling the crack rock and coke or become a crack head. It is ashame what some good athletes become. I am glad to hear that Mr. Payne took the road less traveled.

He isn`t a starter but has played and made several catches. He still has one more year of eligibility left.

I believe he is forgoing his final year of eligibility to go to chiropractor school -- Dr. Payne the chiropractor.

 

Greg Fay (Lehigh) and Russell Cook (Miss. St.) from that same graduating class at USJ are both going to finish out their eligibility and play next season. Rumor has it that Cook is getting NFL looks as a long snapper!
