clarksburglegend Posted July 11, 2006 Report Share Posted July 11, 2006 Alex Whitmore 3rd Baseman from Dyersburg State hit .477 9 HR 60 RBI 74 hits Tyler Farrar Shortstop from Columbia State hit .369 with 55 hits as a freshman and .376 with 71 hits 4 HR 30 RBI as a sophomore Tyler Newman Pitcher/Utility from Dyersburg State(Freed) hit .440 with 6 HR 64 RBI 73 hits and 23 doubles this past year for Dyersburg and had a 5-4 record on the mound with a 2.87 ERA. Hit .320 with 9 HR and 54 RBI his freshman year at Freed Drew Hayes Pitcher/Utility from McKenzie hit .522 10 HR 49 RBI and had a (13-2) record with a 0.63 ERA and 170 K. Jackson Sun Player of the Year. Casey Norris Pitcher from Dyersburg State had a 4.19 ERA with 4-2 Record on the mound Jonathon Keck LHP/1B from Lexington hit .475 with 18 HR (49 HR in Career) and 57 RBI, also was 11-1 on the mound Jon Patterson LHP from Lexington had a 11-1 record with a 1.6 ERA Jonathan Deberry OF from Lexington had 60 hits 57 runs scored and 36 stolen bases this past season Tanner Hall 2B and Rhett Hughes RHP both from SE Illinios JUCO Congrats to all of these young men. It has Cumberland ('05 Nat'l Champs and '06 Runners-Up) and Trevecca Nazarene University (my alma mater) who always will contend with Cumberland for the Conference and Region Titles. It also has Union University and Freed-Hardeman who is a team on the rise. With the addition of about 3 new schools, the TranSouth is only going to get tougher and more competitive. I think its one of the best conferences, if not THE best conference in all of NAIA. Good luck to all of the Bethel signees and all of the teams in the TranSouth.
