Coalfield- 21

Cumberland Gap- 14

Brother D- what up, cuz? So tell me, are those jackets gonna be ready for the boys from the Gap? I saw them play at the Harriman jamboree Friday. I thought they looked pretty good, but from what I saw it looks like their line is a little young? I guess it will all be about giving the Q.B. time to throw and blocking for Davis. Well from an old Wartburg has been- good luck to Coalfield Thursday.(once upon a time I would have NEVER said that! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!) Well,B.D, we'll have to get a thread started next week(Coalfield- Wartburg) don'tcha think? Peace!!!

I think they'll be ready for Cumberland Gap for the most part. The only question marks Coalfield seems to have is the O-Line and possibly the secondary. Cumberland Gap does throw the ball a whole lot so the Jackets secondary has to be on their toes in this game. But I think the secondary should be okay. It's just the O-Line that worries me a bit. A team is only as good as their O-Line and Coalfield has kind of a green line this year. It might cost them a game early this year, but if they can do a good job against Cumberland Gap, then I think we'll be okay. It's gonna be awfully hard to stop the 1-2 punch of Jared Knight and Brandon Davis at the running back positions and Johnny Hill going to the air to Melton or Gunter isn't going to be easy to stop either. Coalfield should win this one, but it won't be easy.

Coalfield appears strong in the secondary, and on Defense all together. The backs are solid and throw in the two mentioned, with Hill and add three more hot backs that are young, and there could be trouble; if they get the blocks. Coalfield still moved the ball decently against a pretty large R.W. team. I would say that Coach Henry will focus on blocking assignments this week to the nth degree.

Coalfield by 14 in a shoot out.

CG needs a wake up call. This "team" resembles nothing of a team right now. I know that they lost basically their whole line and all their skill guys except their running backs, but gimme a break guys. They have showed no heart, no guts, no anything in their two scrimmages this preseason. The defense has looked ok at times but their offense is horrible. Somebody is gonna have to step up in the receiving corps. If CG changes their attitude then this one may be close. If not, then coalfield wins by at least 4 tds. I hope to see a good game and i hope the panthers get their head out of their tails before thursday!!

If CG shows up:

CG-28

Coalfield-24

If CG doesnt show up:

CG-6

Coalfield-42
