58Indians22
Apparently Munford has some new players this year that followed the coach from Memphis East. Someone posted on another topic that they are being provided houses and one of the dads is being paid. If this rumor is true, I feel sorry for the true "Munford" players. But can this be proven??? Guest hustle101
Please, Please are you people so jealous that you can't stand that Munford will no longer be the whipping boy on the schedule?????Can't you come up with anything better than "they're cheating-with no proof"? This is a free country and players are allowed to play (when the guardians move) anywhere they want too. You folks just can't stand it--Munford is getting better. I am not saying they will win the conference this year but don't count them out in the very near future. They have a renewed spirit and game plan. They are learning how to win and yes, it is honest. So please don't hate us because we are improving! Do you hear that cougar roar? Well, you will!!!!! Cougar Fan
coachwlr
Okay...Let's put this to rest! Rumors ran rampant up and down Highway 51 (Millington to Brighton to Covington) that busloads of players were being brought in from Memphis to play football at Munford. Well... The truth of the matter is that when the "bus" stopped to unload, two students got off. One student has transferred from East High and the other came from Frayser. Before they could enroll, they were required to provide PROOF that they in fact lived in the Munford school district. Both students' parents now reside in Munford and these two young people have met all requirements with regard to athletic eligibility with the tssaa. Rumors of dozens of players transferring, monies being paid to parents, homes being provided, etc. again ran rampant. Munford has long been in the football duldrums, and guess what...the TEAMS IN REGION 7 AND ALONG HIGHWAY 51 WOULD LOVE TO KEEP IT THAT WAY! Any guess as to who or why these rumors were started? DUH!!!!!!!
