Big Play Bey gets a huge run of 35 yds to put the YJ at 1st and Goal and that leads to Utley TOUCHDOwN run, thats Utley 2nd TD of the nite

Score

Springfield 15 Shelbyville 7

Springfield went for 2 cause Shelbyville jumped and it put Springfield on the 1 yd line for the PAT, so they ran it in for 2 instead of the extra point kickoff....That drive was 80+ all run plays for the TD

Kickoff return for Shelbyville up to the 5 yd line, 1st and goal for Shelbyville

Touchdown Shelbyville

Score:

Springfield 15 Shelbyville 13(failed on the 2pt conversion)

Springfield is playing horrible ball but winning if they expect to stay undefeated they got to hold on to the ball, make plays, and get it done

Springfield returns the kickoff up to the Eagles 25

TOUCHDOWN SPRINGFIELD Utley runs in a 16 yd run and that Utley 3RD td of the night

Score:

Springfield 22 Shelbyville 13 with 5:22 left in the half

They also need to stop giving up big plays, especially on special teams. Do you know if they had a good practice this week?

My only assumption is that since Shelbyville is 0-3 and lost last wk 60-24 they thought we will walk over them and Shelby is taking advantage of Sprifield easy going ways

1:37 left in the half

Offense is playing pretty good; it could be better without the fumbles. How is the defense? Why are special teams giving up big plays?

The huge return was a end over end kick onto the 25 and a burst up the side got them up to their 5 but other than that their donig good on S.T. and the defense has no turnovers but they are doing alright, the cbs and safetys are getting beat east, liek the TD are jsut east take-a-ways, so it they step it up we got a solid defense

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
