Didn't get to see the last two games, but the Girls from Page came through after dropping game 1 to Eagleville. The Lady Eagles defeated Van Buren in the first game tonight 3-0 (game one was very close). Page Defeated Community 3-1, where Community played very well, taking advantage of errors by the Patriots to take game 2. Nicole Smith won the Tournament MVP.

I'm sure Pageman will give everyone a much better report later...

Here are the results for Thursday's action:

Semi-Finals:

Eagleville def Van Buren Co. 3-0 (27-25, 25-17, 25-20)

Page def Community 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-14, 25-14)

Championship:

Page def. Eagleville 3-1 (25-27, 25-18, 25-17, 25-17)

Page and Eagleville both advance to the Region 6 A/AA Tournament that will probably be held at either Loretto or Summertown next Tuesday (Oct. 17).

I'm bushed and will have more details tomorrow including all the members of the All-Season Team and All-Tournament Team.

Way to go Lady Patriots on winning the district championship.

Thanks, classact. One step at a time as the Lady Patriots' next victim will be Summertown on Tuesday, Oct. 17 in Loretto. Eagleville will face host Loretto in the other semi-final.

I'll post a points analysis of all 3 matches played at MTCS sometime later today, maybe.

The championship match did not start until 8:10 last night due to a delay at the start of the evening. The officials had to do extensive work on the net as it was loose and not mounted high enough. The first match of Eagleville vs Van Buren Co. did not start until 5:00 - 1 hr later than the scheduled start time of 4:00.
