Clay Co./Hermitage Springs Consolidating!

Just got home from the School Board Meeting. Looks like Clay County High School and Hermitage Springs High School will be consolidating with the next school year. This is something that has been coming for years but is still a shock!

All that means is hermitage Springs Is gonna go out w/ a bang....

Of course they would. Red Boiling Springs School is a lot better of a school. They're exactly like Hermitage Springs School, they have the same attitudes as H.S, and don't think they're all high and mighty like Celina does. That's exactly why Hermitage Springs would rather be at Red Boiling Springs!

hate to hear this. fan of little schools. HS will be missed. I agree that most of the kids will be at RBS.

What a shame.....Hermitage Springs goes into the history books like so many others.....College Grove, Bethesda, Campbellsville, Bodenham, Minor Hill,Kittrell, and toooo many to list. Looks like small rural schools need to be added to the endangered species list!!!

Why go to Red Boiling?

Why not go to R.B.S,10 minutes from home,and not be on a bus an hour or longer in some cases.

I have friends in both towns. This discussion has been going around for some time now. From the replies I hear from both areas, the students at HS will be more accepted at RBS. I'm not saying that everyone in Celina is against the kids at HS, I'm just saying that from the majority of the replies I get, that RBS accepts them more.
