The new USA Today rankings are posted and show Raleigh Egypt ranked #22 in the nation in the first pre-season poll. Although the team might be overrated at this point in the season...we will continue to strive to live up to it. Beating the AA State Champions, Liberty (who should repeat as state champs), was a solid start.

I think Raleigh Egypt will do extremely well this year with all of their main contributors back. Maurice Miller is an excellent guard, however, he might not be the best player on the team. There was a player on the team last year who got injured early in the season which caused him to sit out for the remainder of last season. Please keep your eye on this team because they have a chance to be special this season
