Bruceton has a senior starting: at both linebackers, all 4 defensive backs, and possibly 4 of the 5 deffensive linemen. On offense they have seniors at: QB, tailback, fullback, both wideouts, and at leaste 4 of the 6 offensive linemen. so that's what bruceton has coming back. What does the rest of 7-1A have coming back.

Lake co. does not return alot of Sr.'s next year, but they do return some talented Players. 3 of 5 Offensive Linemen Return in Seniors, Jarvis Bogan, a 3 yr. starter and Cole Mathis, 2 yr. starter. Also, Jr. Tommy Morris will return to the O-line after an Honorable Mention All-Region year as a So. Jr. Wideout Carlos Young returns after a good Sophomore year where he was third on the team in Catches and had a big TD reception in the win over Fayette Acad. In the backfield the only players returning are Matt Irwin, back RB who started 3 games at FB due to injury and QB Seth Hinson, got the start against Gleason due to injury of Springer and passed for 118 yards and 3 TDs. On Defense, the Falcons return 3 of 4 LBs in All-Region Jarvis Bogan, over 100 tackles, Matt Irwin and Sr. Stephen Mills. Only 1 D-liineman returns in DT Tommy Morris. Falcons look to replace 3 starters in the secondary but have some skill in Erin Reid, Carlos Young Seth Hinson etc. If the inexperienced guys work hard in the off-season and develop the Falcons will have another good year.

How many seniors does UC have that have started before?

uc is returning 8 starters on offense

and 7 on defense plus a lot of other people that got a lot of time last year

the losses of bracey and flood will hurt but we always have athletes that can step up and this year we should have a good line

Riverrat is correct in that is too early to tell who will step up and fill those skill spots. All I can say is there will be alot of Competition come May 2, 1st day of Spring Practice. I expect to work some guys in different spots during the spring scrimmages and fall camp to find the best combination. Right now I would not rule out a backfield by comittee like we had a couple of years ago with Mays and Yancy at TB. Mat Irwin has played some FB, as well as TB, also you have Erin Reid who runs hard and has a little more speed. Derrell Avery was the #2 guy at FB last Spring until he decided not to play his So. year and is now back out, We have a good looking transfer from ga. in DJ Shields, around 6,1 and 195 lbs., who is strong in the weightroom but have yet to see him with pads on. You have Anthone Kimmons as a nother FB candidate and Patrick Robertson who could compete at TB. Finally, Austin Rivers, wh will be a So. played TE in JV last year but is moving to FB this spring and will have a chance to compete also. These guys all have some athletic ability and positive upsides. I just want to see them perform in game type situations and find out who wants it the most.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
    • I heard Alabama was at Antioch practice and Colorado has offered QB. Hoping the Bears have a great year.
