Region 1 District 2 AA

PF and GP had a great game last night, with PF coming out on top in the end. PF played a great game, held their composure in a hostile crowd. Far different GP team. May have improved more than any team in the district. You can tell that the coach loves these guys and they're playing hard for him. GP, at one time, had 3 sophomores and a junior on the floor. This race will be a close one.

what is the standings in district 2AA. last i heard claiborne was undefeated in conference and pf had two losses. don't know about anyone else. what does it look like? can anyone else help out?

Not exactly sure of the standings today, probably available at knoxnews.com. Claiborne is playing well. PF is not playing as well as at the first of the year, but they have tremendous talent and will be the odds on favorite to win the tournament. Cumberland Gap is going to be tough in the tournament at home. Rutledge (last in the district) gave PF all they wanted at PF last night. GP blew out Union who was previously undefeated in the district at home prior to last night. GP is playing like a team who is starting to buy into a new coach's program. Now becoming fundamentally sound, they look like boys who enjoy playing for a new coach and system. They look like they're having fun and Beatty looks like he loves coaching 'em.

Great win for PF over Union between two evenly matched teams and coaches. PF's coach say they don't match up well with Union. They're very similar. Both have an outstanding senior leader. The only real difference is that PF is a senior laden, very experienced team whereas Union has 2 freshmen and a sophomore in the starting five. Gatlinburg was fortunate to beat Union by 30 at Union, sweeping them for the year. It was interesting that Union County made it to Pigeon Forge because Highway 33 must have been impassable between Maynardville and Tazewell because Claiborne couldn't get to GP last night because of the "roads."

Hancock had union co. down by 10 pointstil the refs started their stuf union co shouldn't even be allowed to play after the stunned they pulled putting 2 dead coons & putting dung on the bus. I can't believe the way they let their student section act & talk
