i think the friday night games are going to be extremely intense. if ravenwood brings the same game they brought to houston they could most certainly take harpeth hall. although harpeth is a superpower, it does not eliminate them from being beaten. ravenwood is 'peaking' at just the right time. they started the season off slowly, but they've consistently improved. ravenwood has some key players that can really step it up: becca, mitzi, nova, shannon. however, harpeth hall has the infamous group of al, paige, dolan, and glory.

the gps and hutch game will be intense too. gps is going to have to have a flawless game in order to beat hutch. gps has some extremely powerful players: ashley, liz, abbey, sarah, drocky. but hutch can retaliate with their strong team as well. they have an INCREDIBLY deep bench. their whole starting line-up consists of key players. i'm not sure if gps has the same depth as hutch. however, gps can surely do the job if they play like i know they can.

QUOTE(boomer5 @ May 9 2007 - 10:31 AM) 826455370[/snapback]it should be harpeth hall and ravenwood in the finals, they are the best 2 teams in the state, im sorry the championship game wont be the best game in the playoffs

The Harpeth Hall v. Ravenwood game may be the best game of the playoffs because they are rivals and have played in the finals for the last 3 years.

However, Hutchinson is a very good team and may have an advantage in the finals because they play the 6:00 game rather than the 8:00 game. With the finals at 10:00 on Saturday, the winner of the Harpeth Hall - Ravenwood game may be too physically and mentally exhausted to play their best game.

while it is unfortunate that either ravenwood or harpeth hall won't be advancing to the finals, its nice to finally have different teams battling for the title. harpeth and ravenwood have been playing for the title for so long that its a breath of fresh air to see that other teams are capable of doing the same. ravenwood and harpeth may in fact be the two best teams in the state, and its unfortunate that the bracket worked out that way.

If Harpeth Hall and Ravenwood are the two best teams then whoever wins the title will have beaten either Harpeth Hall or Ravenwood. It does not matter who finishes second, third or fourth. The goal of all four teams remaining is to finish first.

i think that ravenwood underestimated themselves in thier previous game against harpeth hall, so i think they are going to come out strong during their game against harpeth hall. Yet harpeth cant be forgotten because they are a team that makes strong comebacks. Hutch has had a good season so their is no reason they should not continue on into the finals on saturday. the HH and RHS game will be close but i feel it could be a Hutch RHS game on saturday morning.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what happened.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
