Coalfield is a very young team this year with only one senior and 2 juniors on the team. Don't expect to much this year. As for the scrimmage against Clinton it was very informal with both teams moving people around alot to see what they had. It was not a killing. Coalfield went up 2-0 in the second before giving up 3 in the 3rd. After that they started moving people around alot trying to see what they had.

QUOTE(EastTnCoachTeach @ Mar 6 2007 - 09:31 PM) 826402849[/snapback]I don’t see the Lady Jackets being very good at all. They have an experienced pitcher but that’s it. The rest of the team is very young and inexperienced. Coalfield WILL have a losing record this year.

Maybe they WILL and maybe they WON'T!!! Don't know how you are so sure? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

One thing is for certain: with the young team they have and some good young pitching and a good crop of current middle school age players soon to be on the way, teams better get them while they can, IF they can, 'cause in a year or two, the Lady Jackets are gonna be back with a bang.

Just my humble opinion,

Hmmm? Not Coalfield's year to shine, but yet they are in the back of people's minds. That is good. We like that position. When in the back of something, sneaking up is a whole lot easier.

Coalfield stays on the minds of folks in this stuff because of the support the school gets. Keep it up guys.

Rsquared, Thank you for the kind words about our future, we do have alot on the way and I am sure we will open some eyes next year. I am suprised how many people know so much about Coalfield and how bad they are going to be when they know nothing about this team. With new coaches and a new outlook on the way softball is to be played in Coalfield this team has a very bright future beginning this year. If we are supposed to be that bad why did we keep the game so close at O.S. on Tuesday night. (final 2-1). All the runs in this game were unearned. Not a bad outing in my opinion. Yes there was several rookie mistakes, but that young talent will only get better as the year goes on.
