Here are directions to all the fields that will be used in the tournament this weekend. I received these in an email from one of the tournament directors, Tim Armstrong.

Legion Field is located on Summer Street in Greeneville; from 11-E take the business district and go towards town---

you will pass a Phillips 66 on your right --- look across on the left and you will see Legion field.

To get to Hardin Park take the business district from 11-E and turn right at the light (this is the truck route).

Stay straight, go across the railroad tracks and go straight thru light. At second light make a left at the Fire Department.

You will see a round school and this is where you will park for the New Field games. The New Field is right across the street from the round school.

To get to the Old Field, go past the round school and when you get to the end of this road turn right and you will see the entrance to Hardin Park. Turn right into Hardin Park and the 1st large field is the Old Field.

To get to East View Field stay on 11-E all thru town. You will go thru 3 traffic lights, then after you pass Comfort Inn turn right. This goes into town. Stay on this road when and when you get to the 2nd light turn left at the swimming pool.

Pizza Hut is at this light. Once you turn left, turn left again this take you to East View School and the field is right behind the school.

Good Luck,

---rSquared

QUOTE(TNsoftballfan @ Apr 20 2007 - 10:57 AM) 826441753I was told 1:00. That was from a player not a coach...so am not sure.

1:00 is correct. Teams are supposed to receive a phone call sometime this evening regarding where they play and who they play in the championship round on Sunday.

The Knox Catholic Lady Irish finished round robin play with a 4-0 record. Scores from Catholic's Fri. and Sat. games were:

Catholic 8

Chuckey-Doak 1

Cocke Co. 1

Catholic 7

Catholic 8

Greeneville 2

Davy Crockett 1

Catholic 8

Excellent start Lady Irish! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

QUOTE(statman3 @ Apr 21 2007 - 06:50 PM) 826442507Does anyone have any additional pool play results?

Cherokee also finished pool play with 4 wins:

Cherokee 19 Union County 0

Cherokee 5 Bearden 2

Cherokee 9 North Greene 0

Cherokee 1 South Greene 0 (8 Innings)

Jeff Co. went 3 and 1 in pool play. They beat South Greene, Boone, and Union County. and lost 3 to 2 to Bearden.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
