nah but ur kid over at seymour might want u to get back to work and stop dwelling in a high school forum. and

Second, I especially don't appreciate the comment about Coach Williams. He is an adult, a teacher, a coach, an authority figure, and deserves our respect. If it wasn't for Coach Williams, where would the Seymour soccer program be? Coach Williams stepped into the coaching vacancy, admitted he might not have as much experience as some, but was willing to make the sacrifice of his personal time, his family time, and endure a lot of stress and extra work, just so the Seymour kids could have a soccer team.

the paycheck is helped out quite a bit from this

Now you are just being silly. I would rather hear some worthwhile discussion about soccer.

QUOTE(longdonsilver17 @ Apr 27 2007 - 11:31 AM) 826446898id suggest eurosport scoreboard for the stats, these are discussion boards. most stats are either posted in false to scare competition or as a joke.

and u said silly....u have to be a parent

Why is this board different from the other CoachT sports boards? I spend a lot of time on other CoachT boards and get a lot of information and insight, and stats, about teams and athletes. I would think no one has the perspective players, and coaches - who frequent the boards (right BigG?) - have seeing things from the field or sidelines. This is the only place I have observed anyone say the board is for kids or false stats or intimidation. I thought soccer players prided themselves on "good play" and such. In fact, many of the other threads even here on the soccer board are fact driven.

QUOTE(longdonsilver17 @ Apr 27 2007 - 11:44 AM) 826446910this was an opinionated page anyways. go to a page asking for facts if u want facts...opinions are going to be stated on a page that is asking for them.

My parting words. Even if this particluar thread is just for teenagers, you can still talk smack, beat your chest, support your teams, and opinions, with respect for people personally, with a little class. I think you would be taken more seriously and wouldn't that make you more effective in your purpose? Don't you think the time we live in needs more personal respect? I sure do. See you around guys.

QUOTE(Cretinfromthesticks @ Apr 27 2007 - 11:09 AM) 826446870Hey guys. I've been running around this forum for a while looking for good conversation, debate and stats on soccer, not to hear you run down people. I don't think anyone should use this message board to personally attack anyone else. First of all, these soccer players are teenagers who should not be identified by name and should not be derided personally for any reason. Save it for the locker room or hall, but don't get ugly on a public forum. It is bad form, unbecoming and makes you look small. Maybe we need some coaches to scrutinize what the players are posting, but the discussion should be about soccer and not personal. Where are you coaches?

Second, I especially don't appreciate the comment about Coach Williams. He is an adult, a teacher, a coach, an authority figure, and deserves our respect. If it wasn't for Coach Williams, where would the Seymour soccer program be? Coach Williams stepped into the coaching vacancy, admitted he might not have as much experience as some, but was willing to make the sacrifice of his personal time, his family time, and endure a lot of stress and extra work, just so the Seymour kids could have a soccer team. He has accomplished a great deal in his tenure and, obviously, will leave, if he is leaving, the program in better condition than when he took over. He deserves our thanks and respect.

Like it or not, when you are growing up you have to learn to respect authority. We will never know everything any of the coaches has to put up with just so we can all enjoy high school soccer. I appreciate the job Coach Williams has done, as well as the time he has put into the program. So let's stop the personal attacks and focus on mature, responsible dialogue. I want to learn more about Tennessee soccer. Let's keep it on the high road.

Classy post! I couldn't have said it better.

If you think that any of these coaches in the entire state of TN do this for the paycheck, you are sorely disturbed. This forum is for communicating highschool soccer info, some bragging, some debate, but never for bashing or belittling anyone, let alone a coach.

It is all too easy to hide behind a computer screen and type things that you wouldn't say in public, or at least have the gaul to say to the person's face. Coach Williams is a good friend of mine, who has helped develop Seymour soccer into the quality program that it is.

I had already closed this thread once, knowing that it would go the direction that it has... what a suprise that the thread went this way again.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
