We have several exciting events happening in Northeast Tennessee this summer. The First Ever Tennessee Perfect Game Showcase will be held in Johnson City at Cardinal Park this June 8th. Edge baseball is also sponsoring a High School and Jr. High tournament that weekend. The Perfect Game state showcase format will provide the same skills testing and data generation so important for college and pro scouts, but the cost is considerably less than a regional Perfect Game showcase events. Having the Showcase and tournament together will give the athletes that would like the showcase experience that opportunity and also have their team play in a weekend tournament. We will have several pro and college scouts in attendance.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
