Its official, well at least the Eddie Pless era. Pless just took over the Principal's job at Elizabethton High school today.. Word is Witten will be the new football coach. It's his if he wants it.

Krispy Kreme Karl doesn't know whether Shawn Witten wants to continue coaching collegiately or step into his grandfather's footsteps at 'Betsy. Krispy Kreme Karl has heard that it's a tough decision for Witten. Krispy Kreme Karl knows Witten wants to do what's best for Elizabethton High, but he also wants to do what's best for him. Krispy Kreme Karl thinks if Witten decides to remain at UT, you'll see Witten's uncle Scott Rider take the position. Krispy Kreme Karl knows Elizabethton football needs a shot in the arm and it has been losing money the last two years. Krispy Kreme Karl thinks the addition of Witten would draw the county's best players from each school within a certain amount of time. Krispy Kreme Karl thinks if Shawn Witten takes over, Elizabethton football would be back on the map within two or three years and Tennessee High would be playing for second. Look for Jeff Pierce to be the new Betsy Football coach. If shawn turns down the job, a good choice by Pless, also Wilson contacted Bernie Young for the baseball job, but Greenville has already offered him the world. Bernie likes being close to home and he already told me a couple of years ago, he wanted the Cyclone job. His first year at Science Hill he won the state title.
