HiwasseeVol
I finally found the time to update the "Top Player list" for 2002, 2003 and 2004. Sorry for the delay, but with the end of season very busy, I watched as many games as I could. My laptop is down right now and some of your email might have been lost, so if your information didn't get updated, just resend it with any end of season awards. Thanks, HV Top Tennessee Players Link
Guest MD00
HiwasseeVol, Please e-mail me at mgarrison@ortn.edu for a couple of additions to your best in tennessee class of 2004 page.
SoupKitchen
The list looks pretty much the same as of 5/21.
HiwasseeVol
RUESKA, I think the 2004 list only changed by 2 players and some individual information was updated. They never change a great deal, but they may change more with end of season awards.
anspa
travis simmons is way better than 88th in the state for 2002, his arm was real torn up this year and couldnt pitch at his top level this past season , he still went go 5-0 , but played first otherwise and hit 12 homers with somewhere around 50 rbis, not to mention his overall defensive skills. i know u try for the ratings but i think its impossible to be anywhere accurate, as is proof rating him 88th. that kid has offers for try outs with major league teams, he will probably take a look at the draft but will head to cleveland st for 2 yrs, i have also heard delmonico wants him after he brings up his grades, he is capable of playin the majors one day, which means the 87 in front of him will be too i guess, wow looks like tennessee has a lot of talent
Guest ilwmgn
I think they are in alphabetical order buddy.
HiwasseeVol
anspa, The list aren't ranked by number, they are in alphabetical order.
anspa
oh, well my speech sounded good anyway, and next time dont have numbers put by them, as if they were ranked, that might help idiots like me.
whatever
Good player that not many people know about because of lack of success of his team. BJ Miller from Elizabethton is a great player. He knows the game well and is a very complete baseball player. He helped lead the surprising cyclone baseball team to the region 1-AA championship game while hitting over .650 in the tournament. In the regional championship he went 3-4 with a homerun and 5 runs scored. He walked twice. If you havent seen him play you need to check him out sometime. He is an exciting player to watch. sourone
Nick Garland The 2002 Watauga All-Conference Baseball team was announced on Friday. Few suprises made the team, which was dominated by Unicoi County players. The Blue Devils, who won the regular season, district tournament and regional tournament, placed five players on the team. Nick Garland, who finished the season 12-1 and hit close to .400, was selected Player of the Year. Garland was joined on the all-conference team by teammates Darrell Roop, Mike Manuel, Justin Bernard and Anthony Garland
HiwasseeVol
I've added the MLB draft information to the players on the 2002 list and updated some more players. I also took anspa'a advise and dropped the numbers since the list is mainly in alphabetical order anyway.
