Notre Dame Scrimmages?

WRCB TV Channel 3 reported on the 6:00 news that all Hamilton County schools would not be practicing football until after 7:00 pm and only then with helmets only (no pads). All scrimmages were also to be cancelled. I don't know how this will affect the scrimmage that was scheduled AT Marion on Friday.

In Marion County, as of today, all practices must wait until after 5:30 to start but unless it changes there are no restrictions on pads. Our Jr High is having to move back a scrimmage at David Brainerd from 5 to 5:30 (central) to follow the restrictions. My guess is the the restrictions on Hamilton Co schools will apply no matter where they at at (just like Marion County's do). But....since Notre Dame is a private school they are not under those restrictions so I would expect the scrimmage to still be on.

Lookout Valley clearly won the scrimmage

They started off with two 10-play rounds of 7 vs 7: LV scored twice - ND score 0

Then went to two 10-play rounds full team: LV scored once - ND scored 0

Then...two 10-play rounds with JV: LV scored once - ND scored 0

A good scrimmage over all...but it was a HOT one

Wow,

My mmmmmmomma says LV must be much improved. My mmmmomma says ND is goin to have to practice more. TTThat wat my mmmmomma says.

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
