Why do they not have to play with the Div 2 schools that are private and let the public schools have a tournament of their own. If this were the case Dekalb would have won the state which maybe they deserve to have

Rutledge, Anderson Co., McNairy, Giles...they're all public. Then there's this whole "placing" thing. Everyone placed, but only the champs and the runners-up get recognition with trophies. So DeKalb placed 3rd, Rutledge 4th, etc. Then there's the whole deal that all of the privates that are in Division I are doing so with a multiplier. It just so happens that the multiplier keeps them in A-AA and the majority of private schools are in that boat when they elect to stay in Division I. Also in the results post, the top 10 and ties make All-State on the boys side so how come you only chose to put the top 5 and ties?

Because I was in a crunch for time and listed only the top five. Plus, if any wants the full results then all they have to do is go to the TSSAA website.
