I see what you are saying, and Spencer also shows up at TE some, but what I'm saying is the position being debated won't show up against each other.

I sort of figured they might be padding the stats a little, he is a good player, but he can't make every tackle.

 

 

You certainly don't need me, or anybody, to remind you what it was like for Adam Townsend and his family last season; or what it was like for Mark Byrd and Dane Chrisman. It seemed the better they played, the worse it got. People who'd never seen them play were bad-mouthing them, often comparing them to other players they'd probably never seen play. Great players, great students, and great young men who deserved better treatment.

 

Jacob Estep is about much more than stats. He's GPA is near, or at 4.0. His ACT is near, or at 30. He's quiet. He's modest. He's decent and very respectable. And no matter his stats, just like Adam, Dane and Mark, he's a very good football player.

 

I'm sure that if you choose, you'll get to see a few films of Unaka in a couple weeks, probably to include the Chuckey Doak game; and though it matters very little, I hope you'll do your own count. When Unaka comes to Hampton, I expect Jacob's statistics will be down. The Bulldogs have a gigantic line, a tremendous fullback, quarterback and receivers. It will be tough-going for the Rangers. But you already know that. Whatever the stats, he's as good as, or better than any I've seen in a long, long time.
