This one will come down to coaching?and unless Coach G changes his game plan and switches QB?s, a ?down? MoWest team wins easily. MoWest by 17

 

 

Cap I agree with the QB switch, but MoWest by 17 is out of the Question. Actually the Sharp/Hill combo makes their defense have to prepare for 2 QB's. This might be Adams (#6) breakout game, along with 150 yds rushing from #40, Trent and company on D. I call it,

A second chance for Gilligan to have a "Coming Out" party. He blew his first chance against South. While Elizabethton is a rivalry game not to be overlooked, SHHS really doesn't get alot of points for beating Betsy in their current depleted state.

 

Can SHHS beat M-W? Yes.

If SHHS can stop the big play and apparently everyone else has too, the Toppers should win over a 4A power house that is struggling. Everyone west of JC knows West is weak up the middle.

West needs to bang the center--stop the fullback from getting outside--

pressure the QB on the rollouts--cover the receivers in the middle and

down field and they will stop Science Hill cold turkey.

There is no doubt that West is not as dominating to our out of conference opponents as in years past. However, this is still a good team. There have been a number of position changes over the summer and throughout the first two games, so there are some players still learning their positions. Also, the o'line is very young. They have yet to dominate a game, but have flashes of brilliance. Overall a team that is learning on the fly and that is getting better every week. Now for the question, are they to the point to beat a fast SH team?

 

If the West that controlled the Cherokee game plays, then we will beat SH. If the West that allowed Catholic and Jeff dictate the game is on the field we will be blown away. If the controlling West is on the field West wins by 7; if the other West in on the field we lose by 21.

Okay West , don't hang your head down over this loss. You are still 1-0

in the conference. The Science Hill bunch pointed out some things you

need to work on --they may have seen things that need fixing on their

side.
