Siegel over Red Bank

It was a hard fought match between Siegel and Red Bank. Red Bank brought a solid team, ready to play. Siegel was solid all the way around tonight - taking the win in 5. Bryna Hoffman had a great defensive game along with other core defensive players. Lauren Stanz played the net with tenacity - great job on offensive. It was a great team effort by all!

This was one of the most fun sporting events I have had the pleasure of watchng. Both teams were so even.

Siegels defense was the difference. Still trying to figure out how they got some of the balls up.

 

One last thought. Coach Thurmond is a legend and pure class as well as her players. It was bitter sweet seeing her have to walk off the floor with a loss. She has done as much as anyone in the state..before or after...to move volleyball forward.

 

Thank you coach for making volleyball "matter" in Tn. You will be missed.
