I saw somthing in the paper the other day about Riverside and I was wondering WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO ANTHONY WEBSTER??? Did he do anything after high school. He was an amazing athlete. I saw him play at Camden and was impressed. This was the same year Camden had TJ Jones and Jonathan Hayes. He made them look stupid....WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?????????

Playing minor league baseball for the Texas Rangers. He was drafted out of high school in 15th round by the White Sox and was ranked by Baseball America as there #2 player in the organization after his 2nd full season. He was then traded to the Rangers in the trade that involved Carl Everett to the White Sox and was the man cog in the trade. He earned a promotion to AAA at the end of last year but then was moved back down to AA this year. He has put up some impressive minor league numbers but the power is the thing he is lacking and the main reason he's not in the show right now. He's only 24 so he still has time. This coming year will tell the tell. This past season he batted around .280 10hr's and 30 SB'S(lead the Texas League). I think he is free agent this coming yeat so it will be interesting to see who picks him up because he has some definite value. You are right he was very talented kid who could have gone on the play college football at the division 1 level. A player of his caliber just don't come around to often at Riverside, although they had an 8th grader this year on the middle school team that reminds me alot of Anthony when they were the same age.

      Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.

      Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.

      I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.

      The lawsuit requests a jury trial. Sable Winfree has extremely competent legal representation. FYI - her lawyer represented the Warren County school system for years, and I believe he knows what constitutes a reasonable lawsuit.
