Tennesee High is the pre-season pick to win District 1-AAA. Clearly, they are quick and led by their two guards, but need to develop a better inside game. They must have played Shelbyville pretty tough. Just to give some Upper East Tennessee perspective by comparisons, Science Hill and Daniel Boone will give Tennessee High all they want in the District 1 race. AA Elizabethton lost a HOF game to Tennessee High at Tennessee High by 1 point. Upper East Tennessee has several teams with a shot to make it to Murfreesboro. In AAA, Tennessee High, Greeneville, and Science Hill have a chance. In AA, South Greene, Elizabethton, and Unicoi Co. lead the pack. In A, Cloudland is outstanding and Unaka and Hampton have a chance. Should be another great season all across the state. Good luck to all.

Dickson County played sloppy. They had more talent than the Moore County team. I will have to say that Moore County wanted it more than Dickson.

Good Job Moore County.

I would like to know how you measure "wanted it more"? Possibly with a "Want-it-more-meter."

You act like Dickson County had a team meeting and voted not to want to win as much as Moore County. "Wanted it more" to me, is a cliche from "back in the day." Back in the day, the old coaches would berate their players in every way they could think of and then for their final trump card, they would say, "They just wanted it more than you did!"

The morming newspaper said that Moore County shot 20-28 free throws and Dickson County shot 3-4. That may have influenced the final score more that what you could measure with a Want-a-meter.

    • Wiz, could you kindly inquire of MP whether my pork shoulder has completed its duration in the smoker? My appetite has been piqued, and I eagerly await its readiness. Regrettably, it appears that despite my attempts at communication, there has been no response forthcoming from him.
    • Given your evident depth of knowledge on coaching matters, I'm intrigued to hear your perspective on who you believe would be the most suitable candidate for the position.
    • If he’s the best option that isn’t good. I heard he couldn’t even get the qb to play baseball this year.  kids aren’t coming out for him either he’s in the same boat. But it’s trousdale county and it’s just baseball. You can win one game a year same goes for basketball no one will even kno or talk about it. Just like up here on the hill basketball is the more serious thing in my books if you start losing there’s usually some change..
    • I live in Macon and watched both but I’ll take up for satterfield on this one look at the dudes he has these 2 years compared to the others don’t forget we barely even scored on them there for awhile when he started coaching there just look at 2018 on   If you give him athletes to play with he’s a dangerous d c.
