RIPSHOT
Thanks for clearing things up about the first round of the region. Had to leave during the Mt. Juliet/Wilson Central game but I did see that Smyrna beat the Beech team pretty good. Those Beech girls looked tired and couldn't throw it in the ocean. So, Smyrna is 3rd and Beech is 4th. We'll wait to see who ends up #1 and #2. Looking at all four...not a bad representation for District 9. Three of 'em could go all the way and that Beech team can play with anyone on any given night and potentially upset anybody. Go "9AAA". papabear78
Anything on Mt. Juliet/Wilson Central? MJ beats Wilson Central by 5. Not sure of the exact score but it was 5 points
MJ AND BEYOND
MJ over Smyrna, 65-50. Nicely, nicely done Lady Bears! Game was never in doubt, solid performance by everybody especially Taylor Hall (6 3 pointers, mostly in the first half) and Becca Sharpe who absolutely dominated Emily Pollock at PG (while chewing gum at the same time too!) EP looked shocked!! Raynor was a non-factor in the game for Smyrna...and EP was just basically out of control on the floor and wore herself out. Keep watching the progress of Brit Bell, folks... Finally, just like last time...MJ by 5 over WC on Monday night, then on to Regions! Go Bears! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Whoa, spooky...got this one right again! MJ over WC 66-61. Great game Lady Bears! Overcame a 10 point deficit (couple of times) and put the Mighty Kitties away. Brit Bell and Macie Gleaves the unsung hero's for the game although EVERYBODY contributed. MJ plays team ball, all 5 on the court can and will score. The Bears started a bit tight but kept coming back, coming back. What a special team. Outstanding Senior leadership. Congrats to Chelsea Burroughs of WC for keeping WC in the game. FYI - Taylor Hall won District 9AAA Tournament MVP! Good luck against Henry County on Friday, Bears! Mailman05
Why did they decide to change the region tourny? In the past all games have been played at a neutral sight?

hoop&loop
I realize that Lebanon is in the 7th and not the 9th but lets all give a big applaud to the Lebanon Blue Devils I believe it has been well over 15 years since a district was won. Way to go Lebanon Blue Devils! As I read about the different wins and defeats among the many districts last night I am very thankful that the Lebanon Devils had an opportunity to feel the magic of winning. After seeing where the Blue Devil program was 3,4,5 years ago and to change hands in coaching and within 2 years win the district that takes alot of determination, work & a lot of heart. Without making any direct accusations some of the school have had the star power delivered on a golden spoon but with this team it has been all about doing the best you can with what you got and making the best of it! That is what Coach Brown & his Team has done. He gave these girls just exactly what they needed to believe it & have faith that it could be done. When a coach truly believes in his players and instills that into his players you have every possiblity of magic to occur. As for this Team and I say team without any "I's" in it they demonostrate team effort, spirit & determination. Nothing they did was about one player Fans are proud of their strong effort keep it up and good luck in the regions.

Took a little hiatus to get calmed down. Good luck to all the Wilson County teams tonight. We're still looking for one more meeting MJAB. Maybe this time we'll learn about managing the 4th qtr and do the same things that we do in the good quaters. It is a very difficult thing to figure out you know. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Good luck Lady Wildcats!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Good to see Tierney on the tube last night, tough loss but it was TN after all.
