Can you tell me anything about the Gulf Shores, AL team? Everyone else seems to be local or at least from the general East TN area.

I don't know very much at all about the Gulf Shores team, other than taking a look at their website (see the URL below). Enrollment wise, the school appears to have somewhere around 700 or so students. Looking specifically at their basketball pages, it appears that their boys program has had a little more success, at least recently, than their girls have.

Other than that, I really have no idea what to expect from them! We're just happy that they chose to come and play in our tournament!

I didn't get a chance to catch any of the games today. Do you, or anyone else, have any of the scores from the games? What boys and girls teams looked good today?

Look like Knox. Central Lady Bobcats won over Grace Chrsitian this morning up in Union County High School.

I have posted all of the scores from today's games on the coacht scoreboard, except for the final game of the night---Union Co. boys vs. Gulf Shores, AL. I left at halftime with Union Co. up by a dozen or so. I will post that final tomorrow morning when I get to the school, if no one else posts it before then.

 

I thought Cumberland Gap and Grace Christian boys looked best today, with Rutledge, Union Co., Knox Central, and Jellico only slightly behind. It was hard to get a good read on Rutledge today; they played well but they weren't playing one of the better teams in the tournament.

 

On the girls side, I felt that Rutledge and Cumberland Gap probably played the best, at least today. Neither of them played a very tough opponent, however. Not really any close girls games today.
